deliciously spooky…Halloween cocoa cart!
i served my cocoa tray on a rustic cart…but any table or countertop will do!
creating a cocoa treat is so easy…
here’s what you’ll need:
any medium to large tray
mugs & spoons
a selection of different sized marshmallows
carafe of hot chocolate
small bowls or baking cups
other fun options:
doughnuts, cookies, or baked goods for dunking
sprinkles
whipped cream
chocolate or caramel sauces
serve up a holiday treat
if you can’t fit everything on your tray…not to worry! anything that won’t fit can sit beside it!
the napkins and spoons are scattered in among some pretty gourds…
guests can fill a mug and add their favorites from the tray. an assortment of simple grocery store marshmallows…
or these fun skeleton mallows on a stick for easy stirring! (or eating!)
for holiday fun i added some colorful sprinkles and used a bake cup to hold them…
i LOVE dunking treats in my cocoa so i included some crunchy biscotti…
and cake-like doughnut holes with some whimsical cupcake picks to make dipping easy!
and that’s it! easy items right from the grocer…but when piled together look ghoulishly grand!
treat your family or friends to something toasty on a cool autumn night…
serve up Halloween cocoa!

grab the simple recipe~
- 1 8 quart container Dry milk powder
- 1 8 oz jar Dry coffee creamer
- 1 1 lb package powdered sugar
- 1 8 oz container unsweetened cocoa powder or 16 oz container Nestles Quick chocolate powder (for a milder cocoa)
- Mix all dry ingredients together to blend well. Can sift if desired. Store in large, airtight container.
- Mix 1/2 Cup (or more to taste) of the mix into 8 oz boiling water and stir well. Add marshmallows or other favorite toppings.
- Using the chocolate powder will make a very light and milder version of cocoa. A nice substitute for kids. The unsweetened cocoa powder version will make a dark and more robust cup of cocoa.
