A hot cocoa bomb charcuterie is a really delicious way to surprise your peeps on Valentine’s Day! It’s so easy to do too! Just pile your favorite cocoa toppings and holiday sweets on a tray and you’ll have a toasty treat that won’t disappoint! Cocoa bombs are such a fun new trend and if you feel inclined, you can try making them yourself! But if you’re not up to the task (like me) you can often find them available through local bakers or candy shops. And if you can’t get your hands on some before the holiday…a simple cocoa mix from the grocer will taste just a yummy with all the fun extras you provide! And speaking of the extras…you can find everything I used at grocery or big box stores! So let me share this easy inspiration that will let your Valentine know you think they’re “the bomb”!
share the love with a cocoa bomb charcuterie!
a sweet valentine bounty on a simple tray…
it might be fair to say i’m obsessed with this “charcuterie” trend. but it’s so easy to do and you can customize it for any occasion or type of treat you’d like to serve!
hot cocoa bombs dropped in mugs can look ready for the holiday surrounded with all the pink & red embellishments!
sweets for your sweeties!
like boards i’ve shared before, it’s all about clustering the goodies! let’s start with the mallows…
they’re perfect for topping the cocoa & they add plenty of holiday cheer to the tray and the other nibbles!
white chocolate covered pretzels & oreos make delicious accompaniments. the pretzels came drizzled in red but heart sprinkles & frosting easily dressed the cookies!
fruity, candy-coated popcorn makes a colorful treat to munch on…
and extra marshmallows tucked here & there make grocer-shelf cookies & doughnuts look festive!
they do the same for rice cracker treats…and the silk bloom doesn’t hurt either!
if you have a few pink or red flowers, don’t hesitate to tuck them in!
i even tied one onto the carafe of hot milk!
the color inspiration came from my mugs…so my goodies were mostly white & pink with touches of red.
sticking to similar colors can help a busy tray look cohesive…
but no matter the colors…if it’s filled with love you can’t go wrong!
serve a treat that Cupid would be proud of!
