A neutral Christmas table is what I’ll be setting this year. I’m feeling the need for simple and peaceful decorations in my home, and that will carry over to my tabletop! The wonderful thing about a casual table with a neutral palatte is that you might be able to use your everyday dishes! I layered my plain plates with some natural decorations from around the house and created a festive tabletop that could compete with my fine china! I’d like to share this simple inspiration with you today AND a fun Christmas Eve tradition! So let’s get to it today and set a holiday table!
peaceful & neutral Christmas joy!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own.
my dining room might not be decked to the fullest…but it can still appear that way!
the trick is to make your table look “full” by layering & clustering your simple decor!
paper chargers and a tiny wreath topped with a wooden tree make my place settings look grand…and could serve as favors!
you can create a stunning centerpiece by collecting decor from around the house and clustering it in a tray…
along side some spindly trees sits a tiny cake stand holding snowmen figurines…
and i improvised by using marshmallows as “snow”!
a few ornaments scattered about adds some sparkle and extra holiday festivity!
outside the basket i tucked in bottlebrush trees to fill the center of the table…
decor tip:
small bottlebrush trees look extra festive in numbers. most are inexpensive and can be found in craft and dollar stores. they come in a wide range of colors & sizes too! keep them in clusters and you’ll love how they look!
place setting details
you can keep a simple setting interesting by placing the silverware in an unconventional way. angling the utensils across a paper napkin creates interest…
and for some seasonal sipping…hot cocoa cups are at the ready with some yummy embellishments nearby!
a bake cup holds mallows for topping and cookies for dunking! i gave this little guy holiday detail by attaching a cake decoration “bow tie” with a little icing!
all together, these sweet decorations and details make the table bountiful!
so we can gather around it for a festive good time!
speaking of festive, check out this fun addition for an old tradition…
presents & prosecco!
when my boys were little we always opened a gift on Christmas eve. we haven’t done it in a while and i thought it was time to start again! a tiny table in the corner holds the fun…
cute napkins…
glasses for bubbly…
and bubbly of course! naughty and nice versions on hand…
and my favorite addition for whimsical fun…a crown for me to don while handing out the goods! (and enjoying some holiday cheer!)
just because the dining table may be soft & peaceful, doesn’t mean presents & prosecco can’t be the finale to…
a neutral Christmas eve!
