A simple Valentine treat with a Boho twist might be a great way to celebrate the holiday this year! This decorative style is so trendy & fun and will blend beautifully with Valentine decor! If you’re not familiar…the short definition is it’s a way of blending colors, styles and textures in an eclectic way. Often using grasses, wicker, jute, and globally inspired materials. So today I’m going to share how I easily transformed a Christmas wreath into a Bohemian inspired addition for my Valentine’s Day treat-table. It looks so pretty and made my buffet look grand even though it was only holding the simplest goodies. I’m also going to share my new favorite frosting recipe that’s so delicious and perfect for happy hearts day! So let’s get into the Boho vibes…
and serve up a simple Valentine!
there’s really no rules when incorporating a Boho style. i went with a soft, romantic vibe on my buffet!
the focal point was the wreath…and all i did to transform it was to temporarily tuck the new elements into the greens.
i used artificial blooms in white and earthy, muted hues. i also used clusters of dried grass to achieve the Boho look…
decorating tip:
if the wreath you want to transform is full enough, you shouldn’t need to permanently secure your choices. just tuck them in between the branches. you can use some craft wire if needed. and remember a little asymmetry will fit this style perfectly!
simple sips & sweets
when you have a prominent decoration…everything else is super easy! a wicker tray with some vino is just right for washing down some holiday sweets. at least for the adults!
and my semi-homemade cupcakes look & taste anything but with this pretty-in-pink, raspberry cream cheese frosting!
i topped them with a tiny shortbread cookie which makes a darling AND delicious topper!
set out any holiday plates you might have…Boho is all about mixing and matching!
party tip:
you don’t have to use holiday plates, any combination of favorite dishes will work. mix complimentary colors, use wicker, wood, or disposable bamboo or biodegradable plates which are naturally pretty and readily found in many grocery stores!
no matter your color palette…
let the relaxed vibes inspire your holiday!
sweet treat in Boho style!

The wreath is beautiful. I use faux florals and make arrangements all the time so your wreath really caught my eye.
