Yogurt parfaits are a popular treat at my house!  Not only are they super easy to make, but they’re a healthy breakfast choice OR snack and you can top them with all sorts of goodies!  Some of my favorite toppings include fresh fruit, honey, and homemade granola. (I’ll share my recipe at the end of the post!)  Since it looks like we’ll be keeping our summer celebrations limited to family or small groups of friends, making an ordinary treat look extra special seems like a great idea to brighten the experiences!  So I’m sharing a really fun way to dress up & serve individual parfaits for a sweet treat that tastes as good as it looks!  Make simple joys extra special…whether at the breakfast table, or a coffee with a girlfriend or two!  See the fun inspiration…

A Simple Garden…Tips & Ideas!

A simple garden is just about all I can handle!  I do love gardening but I am far from master-gardener status…in fact, I’m really not very knowledgeable at all.  But I have gained a little experience over the years tending our flower beds and little veggie garden.  We began growing vegetables several years ago when the boys were little…hoping to get them to eat what they grew.  And do you know it actually worked!  Each year we all chose our favorites as well as something new to plant.  And that trial and error not only helped the kids learn to experience new foods but also helped me determine what I could actually grow in the space I had.  So now I have it down to a simple science that serves us well!  If you feel like you don’t know anything about gardening, don’t have the space, or think it’s too much work…I’m happy to share some of my simple tips and ideas that might inspire you to give it a go!  I’m still not completely confident with my gardening skills or have grand spaces for growing, but I’m really glad I didn’t let that stop me.  Come along with me on a tiny tour of a simple garden in my backyard…

DIY art projects are very popular these days especially during stay-at-home orders.  If you’re like me, I’m searching for ways to keep home life as normal as possible and that includes decorating my spaces.  And while online shopping is available, crafting is a great way to save money AND fill the hours!  I’ve been inspired by some of my social media friends who have framed old calendars to create beautiful wall art.  Fortunately I happened to save a lovely 2019 calendar that I had received as a gift from a girlfriend!  So I decided to give it a second life!   Let me share with you how simple this craft can be, and if you don’t have a calendar on hand, try kid artwork, pages from a favorite book, or even scraps of fabric or pretty craft paper!  Let’s get crafting so we can keep busy and create!
