Ginger Spiced Mint Juleps might be the highlight of your Derby Day celebration!  Mint juleps are a tradition for race watchers and this cool sip is still minty & delicious, but with a fun twist! Speaking honestly, some cocktails blended with whiskey aren’t my most favored.  But I do enjoy a julep and this spiced version is another I can get on board with!  Served up cold boasting those wonderful spices with fresh mint…this cocktail is going to be on my menu for Derby watching AND summer entertaining!  Whether you’re hosting a party, or watching casually with family, this fun drink won’t disappoint…even the traditional mint julep fan!  I’m so excited to partner with Misunderstood Whiskey to share their unexpected whiskey flavors and recipes for any celebration!  Let’s get ready for the Run for the Roses…it’s coming up on us fast!

Babybel bunnies will be the cutest addition to your holiday charcuterie or snack boards!  You may have seen larger cheese shaped bunnies made with rounds of brie on Easter platters.  I think they’re so darling but had to wonder if I could create a more 3-D version.  While shopping the cheese counter for inspiration, I decided to try a mini version…and I’m so happy I did!  These little bunny bites are such a whimsical (and delicious) way to add holiday charm to any cheese and cracker platter!  You don’t have to be a food artist to make them either!  So join me while I share the easiest and most fun-to-make charcuterie that’s perfect for any holiday snacking!

A Moroccan Dinner Party

A Moroccan dinner party is always a delicious treat!  It might sound daunting, but many traditional recipes are really quite easy.  That goes for the table decor too!  Many Moroccan dishes are one-pot meals AND often times, no silverware required!  So setting this type of table can be super simple.  But just because it’s simple, doesn’t mean it can’t look festive!  Easy embellishments and plenty of color and pattern can be achieved with mixing & matching what you might have.  And if you feel like purchasing one or two authentic looking serving pieces, it’s easier than ever to find choices online!  You can try floor cushions around a coffee table which would be very authentic…but a typical dining table with chairs is perfectly acceptable too!  Because my husband lived in Morocco as a child, we often enjoy some of his favorites on a regular basis at a no-frills table.  When we share them with friends we typically like to dress it up a tad to enhance the atmosphere.  Today I’d love to show some simple ways we decorate our table…

You may have seen these cuties circulating social media during the holidays, but just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean the sweet fun needs to be!  You can make them whimsical for the kiddos or create a more grownup version, which is what I’m sharing today.  Either way, this super simple sweet treat will bring bright smiles and happy tummies during the long winter!  Try making a breakfast charcuterie with a winter twist…
