Crafting with friends is one of my favorite things to do! Not only is it a chance to get creative but to catch up with my pals!  Late summer is such a great season to craft with natural items right from the backyard.  Pine cones, leaves, and acorns are plentiful this time of year making it easy to come up with endless supplies, making it an affordable activity too! I’m excited to share some easy ideas for hosting a tiny craft party for friends or for your kiddos too!  It’s really fun to see each person put their own creativity to work.  So gather together and make something pretty with the help of Mother Nature!

Country Western parties are classic and a theme that everyone will enjoy!  They’re perfect for summertime celebrations because of their backyard, laid-back vibe.  Inexpensive party food and simple decorations will make it easy on the host too!  My family throws a “costume” party each year and this was theme for our most recent bash.  Even though casual entertaining is normally how I like to roll, stepping it up once in a while is always a fun experience.  Extra party fluff can still be easy to pull off with just a little extra prep time.  I’d love to share some party tips and simple details that came together to create a really fun night!  Let’s pull on the boots and get ready to boogie…

A faux living wreath might sound strange…but  it’s a fun alternative that’s maintenance free!  Inspired by living succulent wreaths, this DIY can withstand sun, shade and zero watering.  You don’t need many supplies to make this cheerful decoration either.  And with the right faux materials it will withstand all the elements of the outdoors making it fun to hang on a garden gate, shed, or your door!  If you’re intending on giving it a garden flair…some mini yard ornaments will be a happy addition too!  Let’s get creative decorating our outdoor spaces!

Chive blossom vinegar is as pretty as it is tasty!  If you have chives in your garden, you can make this condiment to use for salads or summer recipes.  It would make a lovely gift too!  Other herbs will work well, so don’t fret if you don’t have the blossoms on hand.  I’ll share some other options in the post…the basic tutorial is the same.  What I love about this particular infused vinegar is the gorgeous pale color and mild onion flavor!  So lovely for using in light salad dressings and it will look pretty on the table too!  Lets add flavor from the garden…
