On Monday we celebrated our teachers by hosting an annual Spring Luncheon as a “thank you” from all the parents! A simple gesture, but much appreciated by the teachers and staff…and a fun excuse to come up with festive decorations to help make them feel special! The theme was “bloom”…a vision of springtime but also a word representative of how our teachers help cultivate our students over the years–the end result being each child blooming to their full potential! With very modest decorations it was easy to make the school library look fresh for spring and show our teachers just how much we appreciate all they do!
a blooming “thank you!”
a gathering of some supplies…mini bushel baskets, straw banners, and simple paper circles in coordinating colors will come together to create inexpensive but adorable centerpieces!
add some posies…
a tub full of flowers ready to go!
lucky for me, my friend and co-chair on the committee owns a printing business…these sweet invites were tucked into the office mail boxes earlier this month!
we left the inexpensive table covers folded in half to make an over-sized “runner”–which helped make them look whiter and not so thin and transparent! the shades of lavender paper circles scattered about added a pop of fun, complimenting color! so easy!
we tucked small thank you banners made from straws and tiny poms into each basket…they’re so easy to make and look so cute!table cards tie the theme together on the buffet…
i recycled these hanging candle holders to hold the extra utensils…i love the way they look like summertime!
a peek at some of the wonderful food donated by parents…

a lovely event to express our gratitude…
