Brie and berries is such a great combination! Bake the cheese until it’s bubbly hot and serve it with berries in balsamic glaze and you have an appetizer that your guests can’t stop eating! It’s perfect for 4th of July celebrations because the gooey fruit is in patriotic colors! I’m sharing the super easy and delicious recipe but also a whimsical way to serve it for the holiday that’s not all star-spangled and red, white and blue. I love traditional holiday color but sometimes it’s nice to change it up a bit! You can still create a festive spread but put a new twist on it depending on what you have on hand! The Fourth of July is just around the corner so celebrate easy with a whimsical snack table!
brie and berries…delicious fun!
this simple spread has it’s share of red, white, and blue…just not in traditional fashion!
the baked brie, served in a toadstool inspired casserole, made a delectable centerpiece surrounded with individual snack goodies…
mini charcuterie boards were embellished by tying scraps of fabric & trim to the handle. a toadstool sticker added a pop of red and was a lucky match to the casserole!
decor tip:
you can add holiday color in many ways. try varying hues and patterns. you don’t have to be limited to stars and stripes! but if you want it to look a little more patriotic you could embellish the board with a glitter star or mini flag…honestly anything goes! paper napkins are another easy way to add holiday pizzazz. tuck them under the board or scatter them about. no rules.
another easy snack that won’t disappoint? popcorn! a baking cup made a great disposable vessel for this pina colada popcorn! yes, i said pina colada!
this summery popped corn added just enough healthy sweetness AND unexpected flavor to the table!
but let’s get to the main attraction…brie and berries beautifully baked!
strawberries simmered with agave & balsamic, fresh blueberries and basil. poured over the warm cheese…summer deliciousness!
i love to add blooms to any table. it’s beautiful and can be another way to incorporate your holiday color. any red, white or blue-ish flowers will do!
whether you serve up this treat for the fourth or any summer gathering, i hope you give brie and berries a try!
happy summer munching!
