Springtime table inspiration can help us think ahead to warmer holidays!  I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready for a new season and the blooms it brings.  And since gathering around the table is how most of us celebrate these days, I thought I’d jump ahead and start sharing some fresh ideas!  Spring brings holiday celebrations like Easter and Mother’s Day, but it also inspires us to share special breakfasts or brunches for no real reason at all!  I think it’s a season that makes us feel refreshed & hopeful for new beginnings, so why not have plenty of any-day-celebrations around a pretty table!  Today I’m sharing some simple ideas with hints of Easter…it’s early this year so it’s OK to start thinking ahead!  I hope you enjoy it…

Irish Soda Bread…with a Twist

Irish soda bread is something I serve every St. Patrick’s Day!  It’s a holiday tradition my family loves and looks forward to each year!  Typically, Irish soda bread calls for caraway seeds and raisins…neither of which are favorites of my boys.  Tweaking the recipe allowed me to omit certain ingredients and make room for new ones!  But even though there’s an unexpected flavor, this rendition has the same unique texture with a dense, soft & crumby inside with slightly crisp top.  It’s a delicious bread for a holiday breakfast, a snack, or to serve aside your corned beef and Irish stew.  You’ll love how easy it is to bake this quick bread without any fuss!

A hot cocoa bomb charcuterie is a really delicious way to surprise your peeps on Valentine’s Day!  It’s so easy to do too!  Just pile your favorite cocoa toppings and holiday sweets on a tray and you’ll have a toasty treat that won’t disappoint!  Cocoa bombs are such a fun new trend and if you feel inclined, you can try making them yourself! But if you’re not up to the task (like me) you can often find them available through local bakers or candy shops.  And if you can’t get your hands on some before the holiday…a simple cocoa mix from the grocer will taste just a yummy with all the fun extras you provide! And speaking of the extras…you can find everything I used at grocery or big box stores!  So let me share this easy inspiration that will let your Valentine know you think they’re “the bomb”!

A simple Valentine treat with a Boho twist might be a great way to celebrate the holiday this year!  This decorative style is so trendy & fun and will blend beautifully with Valentine decor!  If you’re not familiar…the short definition is it’s a way of blending colors, styles and textures in an eclectic way.  Often using grasses, wicker, jute, and globally inspired materials.  So today I’m going to share how I easily transformed a Christmas wreath into a Bohemian inspired addition for my Valentine’s Day treat-table. It looks so pretty and made my buffet look grand even though it was only holding the simplest goodies.   I’m also going to share my new favorite frosting recipe that’s so delicious and perfect for happy hearts day!  So let’s get into the Boho vibes…

A neutral Christmas table is what I’ll be setting this year.  I’m feeling the need for simple and peaceful decorations in my home, and that will carry over to my tabletop! The wonderful thing about a casual table with a neutral palatte is that you might be able to use your everyday dishes!  I layered my plain plates with some natural decorations from around the house and created a festive tabletop that could compete with my fine china!  I’d like to share this simple inspiration with you today AND a fun Christmas Eve tradition! So let’s get to it today and set a holiday table!

Christmas bells and cookies go hand-in-hand in my book!  Once the holiday cheer commences…it’s time to fire up the oven and decorate some sweet fun!  This Christmas won’t be the same but if you can bundle up, why not host an outdoor cookie “party” for a few of your besties!  2020 is all about getting creative with how we share our joys.  This year, I decided not to host a cookie exchange, but bake goodies for my friends to package up as a gift from me!  And to be safe I’ll host this tiny group on my patio!  We can bundle up, have a cup of cheer, and my pals can box up some sweet treats to take home to their families!  So let me share this outdoor inspiration that you might want to try this holiday!  The Christmas bells are ringing…

time for cookies and good cheer!
