A neutral Christmas table is what I’ll be setting this year.  I’m feeling the need for simple and peaceful decorations in my home, and that will carry over to my tabletop! The wonderful thing about a casual table with a neutral palatte is that you might be able to use your everyday dishes!  I layered my plain plates with some natural decorations from around the house and created a festive tabletop that could compete with my fine china!  I’d like to share this simple inspiration with you today AND a fun Christmas Eve tradition! So let’s get to it today and set a holiday table!

Christmas bells and cookies go hand-in-hand in my book!  Once the holiday cheer commences…it’s time to fire up the oven and decorate some sweet fun!  This Christmas won’t be the same but if you can bundle up, why not host an outdoor cookie “party” for a few of your besties!  2020 is all about getting creative with how we share our joys.  This year, I decided not to host a cookie exchange, but bake goodies for my friends to package up as a gift from me!  And to be safe I’ll host this tiny group on my patio!  We can bundle up, have a cup of cheer, and my pals can box up some sweet treats to take home to their families!  So let me share this outdoor inspiration that you might want to try this holiday!  The Christmas bells are ringing…

Wine and Chocolate Charcuterie DIY!

Wine and chocolate go hand in hand…in my opinion!  And when you combine a collection on a delicious charcuterie you’ve got a sweet treat that won’t disappoint!  Halloween will be different this year.  Our annual tradition of meeting friends for a multi family dinner party & passing out treats just isn’t going to happen this holiday.  As disappointing as that may be, it’s temporary and we can still find many ways to make the night special!  One treat I’m planning is to surprise my hubby with a wine and chocolate dessert board we can share!  Piled with full-bodied flavor and rich dark colors, this grazing tray is perfect for All Hallows Eve!  The drinks might be for the adults but you can substitute with any favorite mocktail for the 21 and under crowd!  And to please the entire family, we might just fire up the patio heaters and watch a holiday movie outdoors. So if you’re handing out treats, taking the goblins out, or just staying at home…wind down your Halloween festivities with a special treat made just for the grownup ghosts!

A Halloween pot pie will be a delicious & easy meal to serve to your family before your holiday festivities.  It’s one of my family’s favorites and I’m sharing my semi-homemade recipe that doesn’t disappoint!  I LOVE one-pot (or pie) meals that are filling, yummy AND quick!  No matter what your celebrations look like this year, you can whip this up in a snap…and dress it for the season too!  Using a purchased crust is how I roll…but you can certainly make your own if you wish.  Grab your favorite Halloween cookie cutter too…and let’s get this pot pie in costume!

A mini pumpkin topiary is such a fun and easy thing to create!  Not only is it a darling decoration, but it would make a fantastic gift for your Halloween-loving peeps!  I’m sure you’ve seen larger versions of stacked pumpkins & gourds in urns on front doorsteps.  Inspired by the big ones…this mini variety is easier to handle while crafting, inexpensive, and will be a unique addition to your holiday decor!  Let me share how simple it is…
