christmas cocktails & cheer!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own.
this colorful, christmas cocktail is made with chocolate vodka and wine. the combo might sound different but i really loved it!
this beauty tastes like a bite of chocolate followed with a sip of wine!
“chocolate & vino”
2 oz dutch chocolate vodka (such as Van Gogh Vodka)
1 oz dry, red wine
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 dash angostura bitters (for a more intense chocolate flavor, omit the bitters)
shake with ice, strain and serve in a rocks glass over ice
garnish with fresh fruit or mint, optional
makes 1 cocktail
a garnish always makes a cocktail shine…
you can skewer any berry you like to crown your glass. and for serving, a few pretty baubles scattered on the tray makes it feel like christmas!
if something creamy is your thing you might love this one…
“coffee & cocoa kiss”
1 oz dutch chocolate vodka
1 oz kahlua
1oz cream
shake with ice and strain into a chilled glass
garnish with a chocolate kiss or chocolate shavings, optional
makes 1 cocktail
a creamy, rich, tummy-warming drink! i love the kiss garnish on the edge too…
garnish tip:
to add the chocolate kiss to the rim, simply run hot water on a table knife and gently make an indentation on the bottom of the candy. the heat will melt the chocolate groove without having to press hard with the knife. line up the groove with the rim of the glass and gently press it in place. now you have a deliciously darling garnish for any chocolatey drink!
you can use a fun stir-stick or a peppermint stick to add some holiday color along side the garnish. either way this will make the chocolate & coffee lovers smile!
winter white or colorful christmas…
two christmas cocktails with yummy chocolate flavor…
ho ho holiday happiness!
