Christmas cookie decorating is such an anticipated tradition for so many holiday lovers! I always look forward to baking days and often have several cookie decorating dates with family AND friends! It’s easy to make cookies ahead, freeze them, and have them ready when you want to make Christmas memories! I know my boys have enjoyed this tradition over the years so I was so excited to partner with Party Mazing and Grand Rapids Popcorn to bring you some inspiration for hosting a cookie decorating party designed for the kiddos! Even luckier for me…having friends who’s littler tots could partake in the fun! So let’s get right to it today and share in the sweet festivities!
Christmas cookie decorating…delicious holiday joy!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
it’s hard not to smile when cookies are involved!
and it can be super easy to set up a cheerful table for little cookie artists to show their skills. darling banners will set the mood and define the space…
you can cover the table with wrapping paper…it looks cute and makes cleanup so easy!
plastic plates and paper baking cups filled with sprinkles, mallows, and candies are shatterproof & perfect for little fingers…
disposable ice cream spoons are also perfectly sized for small hands to frost their masterpieces!
since the table has a whimsical woodland theme, rustic additions like wooden bowls and “platters” fit right in.
and in those wooden bowls…some popcorn for munching! something salty…
and something sweet to satisfy little cookie decorators!
and if you’re nibbling on popcorn AND cookies…something to wash it all down is necessary. pretty paper straws match the theme and make any drink more festive!
we can’t forget the main event…COOKIES!
don’t forget you can include favorite bakery cookies with the cutouts. kids won’t mind one bit!
but cutouts are always a fun holiday treat…so make your favorite recipe or look for pre-made varieties at your grocer.
i dressed up the natural “platter” with some woodsy fun…a little moss, mushrooms and holiday greens!
when the kids are finished with their masterpieces…
sweet & simple boxes are waiting to hold the goods…
and we can’t forget favors. how adorable are the dollar store animals holding a delicious popcorn ball! so easy to pop them in a box and clip on a holiday greeting!
i can’t think of a happier ending to a happy party!
have a merry Christmas cookie decorating party!
and for more fun…be sure to print off the free coloring pages HERE for extra artistic activities all winter long!
