December is upon us…why not celebrate with a Christmas eggnog bar? A little twist on the cocoa bar, eggnog is another traditional sip that’s perfect for the holiday! My family loves eggnog…and you can serve up family-friendly or spiked version to suit everyone’s tastes! The wonderful thing about eggnog is that you can easily find both varieties in the stores now so there’s no stovetop cooking unless you want to! (and the easier the better in my book!) I recently took the opportunity to share some holiday sips in the back of our old truck before we store it away for the winter. But you don’t have to have a tailgate to serve up this cheerful drink…any table will do! And if you have an outdoor space, try bundling up and toasting the season outside…it’s a fun way to ring in December! Let me share some ideas & inspiration with you!
serve up Christmas…eggnog style!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
the back of our old chevy got a dose of cheer…
who would have thought such fun was in the back…
but guests found simple goodies, festive prints and some holiday sips for toasting!
naughty & nice
it’s always nice to offer non-alcoholic beverages, especially if there’s kids involved in the party!
something “nice” will satisfy all who sip on the mild side! labels are wonderful for letting guests know what they’re getting…
something spiked for the “naughty”…and some whimsical fun!
just place your containers & cups on a tray. i sprinkled mine with some glittery snow since there’s none left on the ground!
and for the “naughty” drinks, i added some mismatched cordial glasses to a festive stand. a pretty way to highlight them!
sweets & treats
even though there’s no hot cocoa on this bar…marshmallows on sticks never disappoint! if you love peeps, they’re pretty darn good dipped in nog!
and it’s always lovely to include a munchie or two whenever you’re serving drinks. purchased shortbread cookies are cute and make another delicious dunker!
and i did include a hint of cocoa on this Christmas eggnog bar…but in popcorn form! it’s one of my new favorites!
extra corn is off to the side for more merry munching!
i love the festive tin…and it makes a great gift too!
since we were outside, i tucked the napkins into a covered server. it looks cute AND keeps them from blowing all over!
sprinkles & toppings
in my opinion, you can’t have any kind of “bar” without toppings of some sort! so i set out a super simple selection…
i didn’t have spice shakers but i did have a vintage “spoon” in my collection…
i just filled some sugar pots with my spices and guests could use the spoon to sprinkle on some flavor!
sugar & spice and sprinkles are nice! especially when kids are invited…or the kids at heart!
whip it…whip it good!
extra whipped cream on tables lets everyone add more fluffy fun!
you can easily cover the container with paper and a bottle wrap!
so if you’re looking for a festive way to celebrate the season…
consider some outdoor fun…
and serve a Christmas eggnog bar!
…with sprinkles on top!
happy holiday sipping!

I love eggnog! I guess I would go for the “nice” kind! What do you call that spoon you’ve paired with the spices? Very unique!

Ha Ha! I like nice, but I’d go for the naughty!! lol! I collected that spoon a long time ago when I was searching for silver plated pieces. I’m sure it has a name but I do think it’s some kind of sugar or salt spoon/shaker! it just happened to work perfectly!
