Christmas gift wrapping can be fun for some…and for others a dreaded, last-minute event! I happen to love it but it’s most fun when you have a little time carved out to do it…which is hard to come by! Over the years I’ve realized that you can embellish any gift with simple little things to make it look grand. You don’t need to be a paper artist, a gift wrap champ or spend a lot of money either! Today I’m sharing some really sweet and simple ways to dress up your packages just in time for Christmas! Get ready…to wrap up the holidays!
Christmas gift wrapping made simple!
when it comes to gift wrapping of any sort, i do have a soft-spot for simple…but that doesn’t mean it can’t look special!
i’m also a big fan of not necessarily hiding the gift! this batter bowl makes the perfect “basket” for a gift designed for a baker!
little ornaments are a fabulous go-to for dressing a present…this tiny bauble easily crowns this craft paper bag!
sometimes Christmas gift wrapping doesn’t require wrapping at all when you can tie on a trinket that serves as part of the gift!
you might remember these dish towels from my gift guide? this crafted miniature is perfect for adding something unexpected to a practical gift and it makes no difference that it doesn’t scream holiday!
another fun idea is to add a vintage crystal to your gift tag!
not only does it make simple wrapping look elegant but it can double-duty as a sparkly ornament!
and like i said earlier, there’s no rule that says you HAVE to use Christmas baubles OR paper!
i was able to make this cheerful, cherry paper fit in for the holiday by simply tying on an ornament & a sprig of greenery!
i also enjoy paper alternatives! try a dish towel for gussying up any food item you might be giving…
and don’t forget to check your craft bins or economy sections at the hobby stores. i made a mini forest to top this craft paper box and all i needed was glue. and a single jingle bell easily adds festivity to the simple tag…
do you have a couple extra buttons lying around? use a strip of craft paper as a “ribbon” and hot glue a row of buttons on underneath a bow. what a fun and economical presentation for boys of any age!
i hope you enjoyed these simple ideas! it doesn’t take much, but when you add some love to any gift…it shows!
happy gift wrapping…happy Christmas!
