Cocoa season has arrived! Not sure about you, but Christmastime is when I really start thinking about this chocolatey sip. It’s delicious and comforting all winter long but there’s something about the holidays that make it taste extra festive! Whether you like it dark, milky, spicy, or even a little boozy, cocoa is the easiest treat to whip up quick and serve to your family & guests. Today I want to share some simple inspiration for setting up a hot chocolate station that has some Christmas magic sprinkled in! It’s almost December…so warm your bones in holiday style!
cheers to hot cocoa!
a sweet cocoa station is always a welcome sight…
entertaining tip:
fill a cart or cabinet with staples for outdoor entertaining, this flea market find holds paper plates, napkins, roasting sticks and mallows. (because it’s semi enclosed, i leave these things out all the time for impromptu gatherings) try using domes and glass storage containers to keep everything clean, dry & ready for use! if you’re using a wooden structure outside, a good coating of butchers wax or finishing wax will help repel moisture when it rains.
a simple tray filled with cheerful mugs & a carafe of cocoa is all you need!
holiday mugs aren’t required…but if you have them, they sure add to the festivity!
a few easy extras don’t hurt either! mallows for billowy topping…
a few cookies for dunking…
and candy canes for flavorful stirring!
a toasty drink by the fire…a fitting way to welcome december!
it really can be simple!
so raise a mug to…
cocoa season!
