Crafting with friends is one of my favorite things to do! Not only is it a chance to get creative but to catch up with my pals! Late summer is such a great season to craft with natural items right from the backyard. Pine cones, leaves, and acorns are plentiful this time of year making it easy to come up with endless supplies, making it an affordable activity too! I’m excited to share some easy ideas for hosting a tiny craft party for friends or for your kiddos too! It’s really fun to see each person put their own creativity to work. So gather together and make something pretty with the help of Mother Nature!
“bee” happy and craft with friends..
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own.
a craft party can be super simple to set up. just gather supplies for each guest to have at easy reach…
parchment “place mats” keep craft messes off the table and tiny boards hold a few of the goodies to get creative with…
jars filled with more supplies are at each seat…
along with a bucket filled with natural and faux alternatives too!
an easy but pretty way to have everything right at hand!
here’s what i used:
twigs, dried pods, pine cones in various sizes, spines of pine cones, dried and faux flowers. you can literally use whatever you find and if you don’t have access to a yard or wooded area, craft stores offer many of these supplies at very reasonable prices.
it can be helpful to share some craft inspiration so guests have a jumping off point!
a sample of a “dragonfly”…
and “bumble bee” were on hand as examples!
since the theme was a bit “buggy”…the treats were decorated accordingly!
edible wafer butterflies were super easy for topping the desserts…
by folding the paper wafer you can get a 3-D effect. a tiny dollop of icing will hold it in place!
a simple platter of macarons and hand pies make a delicious centerpiece!
even the sips got some butterfly wings by attaching craft decorations to the bottle with wire…
a super simple set up but a sweet way to gather, nibble and create!
crafting with friends…
priceless fun!
