It’s time to start thinking about sweet tokens to hand out to those you love, like, and admire! It never has to be big…just a simple reminder of how much you care! Today I’ll share some fun ways to dress up your holiday packages…sometimes those little extras really show the recipient you made it look special just for them! You can get as creative as you wish…but it often doesn’t take much to make a gift shine! Kind of like sprinkles on a cake…the simple, crowning touches! These are a few of the little packages to hold special treats for my Valentines this year…hope you can find some inspiration for yours!
holiday treats play dress-up!
as holidays approach, i love to begin to gather up simple supplies to make gift giving as easy as it is fun! it can be just about anything…little bags, boxes, jars, snip-its of papers, ribbons, or anything that catches my eye! some cute bags, tags and a plastic mason jar that was once filled with stamps are all ready to get their final Valentine touches…
sweet treat…
i grabbed these tiny, striped Valentine bags to use as place cards/favors for a dinner party…but i loved the gold & red pattern so much i decided to use one to help transform my jar into a literally “sweet” gift…
it was easy to cut out a circle to fit right over the lid…(don’t worry if the edges aren’t perfect, the ring covers them effortlessly!)
i LOVE the confetti tags(from the Target dollar spot, of course!)–perfect for any celebration! and simple stickers are one of my favorite ways to label a gift!
cupid’s arrow…
i paired these adorable gift sacks with pale pink tags…i love the color combo!
these tiny wood arrows from Hobby Lobby are lovely for a little extra embellishing! i sprayed them gold to match the pattern on the bag…but they were completely cute on their own! a little glue and they look like they were made for those gift bags!
again, stickers to add a Valentine message…
and two cute gifts to give away on the 14th! LOVE!
let’s have a conversation…
another easy and whimsical gift topper… i took two tiny boxes to hold some special trinkets and merely topped them with a candy! seriously, who doesn’t love the look of a conversation heart!?
i don’t know about you, but i think that single candy heart on top makes these 1 1/2 inch boxes look every bit as exciting as a gigantic one! (well, maybe not THAT exciting…but close!) a little hot glue holds them in place…or you could use Elmer’s just in case someone is inclined to actually eat it!
and inspired by the convo heart…i decided to try out a larger pattern! a simple lunch sack get adorned with some leftover SweetTart candies…
this time hot glue is necessary for securely holding the candy onto the paper…not to mention the quick dry time! you can pencil out a pattern if you wish…or just wing it!
i’m kind of loving this one! you could do this same technique on the top of a larger box too…either way, you can recycle holiday candy AND create unique gift packaging!
whatever you’re handing out to your favorite Valentines…tuck them inside some simple packaging that’s
