An Easter dessert grazing board is such a fun and yummy thing to create this holiday with your family! Grazing or charcuterie boards have become extremely trendy and the possibilities of what you can use are practically endless! There’s really no right or wrong so don’t be afraid to try one! You might think the quarantine will make it more difficult to style one…but I bet you have everything you need in your pantry already. I took some time to check out what was in mine and came up with a whimsical dessert tray to serve my family. Let me share with you how it turned out…and I hope it inspires you to get your thinking cap on and add some sweet fun to your at-home Easter celebrations!
DIY Easter dessert grazing board!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
by searching the pantry, enjoying a little baking, & adding a holiday decoration or two…a tasty dessert board is born!
here’s some suggestions of what you can use to create one of your own:
boxed cookies such as animal crackers, Oreos, or any favorites
boxed cake, cookie or brownie mix to bake
sprinkles or candies
any Easter candy
fruit
cream cheese or fruit spread
jelly sandwiches cut with a cookie cutter
plastic eggs or any other holiday decoration
tray or platter
any favorite snacks or decorations will do!
this little bunny is a fun addition to the corner of my tray…
then i piled some sweets on a platter to set beside him. let’s begin with the bird nest cupcakes…
i didn’t have traditional supplies in my pantry to make bird nests…
so i got creative with mini cupcakes, sprinkles and Girl Scout cookies!
my leftover mini carrot cakes got a little icing around the edges and a dip in the sprinkles…
my boys aren’t big chocolate icing fans so i just ran some around the edge…but you could ice the entire surface if you wish!
Girl Scout Samoa cookies look reminiscent of a nest to me. i just added a little extra icing and plopped one on top of each cake…
i added a paper topper and some sprinkles to look like eggs…but any egg candies would look adorable alone too!
building the board…
once i had my cupcakes and cookies baked & decorated it was just a matter of styling them on the platter.
a grazing board can begin with a focal point. here, its the message written in cookie form! (but you don’t NEED alphabet cookies..try a chocolate bunny or a bowl filled with candy)
the rest is easy! just scatter the baked & purchased goodies around. cluster the smaller treats together…
cookies or cupcakes with festive sprinkles can decorate the tray beautifully on their own!
it really doesn’t take many goodies to make a dessert tray look amazingly yummy!
you can add a little DIY sign if you wish. just print right on your computer and embellish it with craft paper…
when we can celebrate with friends again, a dessert tray would be a fun idea for party favors too!
but for now, it’s just family…and though the sign looks cute, i can guarantee mine won’t take just one!
get everyone involved and have some fun in the kitchen! no matter what’s on it…
your family will love an Easter dessert grazing board this holiday!
stay safe and Happy Easter everyone!

Girl Scouts: Samoa Cookies
grab one of my favorite no-chill cut-out cookie recipes!
- 1 Cup unsalted butter, at room temp
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanillla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 Cups flour
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. In the bowl of a mixer cream the butter and sugar until smooth, approximately 3 minutes
- Beat in the extracts and egg
- In a separate bowl combine baking powder with flour and add a little at a time to the wet ingredients. The dough will be very stiff. Do not chill the dough. Divide it into workable batches, roll out on a floured surface to approximately 1/4" thick round. cut with cookie cutters.
- Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes. Let cool on the cookie sheet until firm enough to transfer to a cooling rack. Frost and serve or freeze un-frosted cookies.

Oh I hope you love it! To me it’s a tad more like a shortbread but it holds its shape so well and we love shortbread cookies!
