Christmas morning breakfast doesn’t really happen in my house…it seems everyone wants to get right down to business unwrapping the pretty packages under the tree! This year I decided to try something new…a little morning treat table with just a couple goodies that are perfect to grab-and-go! We normally sit down in the evening to our Christmas supper so light appetizers for lunch is usually our routine…but breakfast is often an afterthought, sidelined by all the gifts and unwrapping frenzy! Even though I’m not really expecting everyone to eat BEFORE the unwrapping begins…I’ll at least have some food out for the taking amidst the festivities! Today I’m sharing a little preview of what we’ll be waking up to on Christmas morning and just how easy it is!
start the holiday with a Christmas morning breakfast!
if you have chaos on Christmas morning…you might want breakfast to be as easy as possible! let the grocer help you out…
i LOVE these frozen egg frittatas! i keep them in my freezer all the time for a quick, easy AND healthy breakfast on the go!
you can easily dress them up by popping them in a cupcake liner, top them with a pick, and serve on a cake stand! who says cake stands are just for cake?
a couple herbs sprinkled on top is pretty AND tasty!
now that i’ve served something healthy, it’s on to the sweet stuff…it is a Christmas celebration after all!
you can rely on the bakery for a box of doughnuts…and then just pile them on a plate!
some pompom picks tucked here & there are an effortless way to make them look festive!
and since it is Christmas…why not serve up some cake? it certainly looks delicious on the table!
our actual Christmas morning breakfast cake will be a gingerbread to replace this one…but the concept is the same! mini mallows, sprinkles & a cupcake pick is enough to top any sweet treat in holiday style!
i loved the woodland feel to this table so i kept the theme going with these adorable napkins…
my little figurine fit right in…
i happened to have these cute plates on hand…but you can find really sweet paper products to fit any theme!
and a single star ornament hanging from my blackboard makes me think of the Christmas star shining bright in the night sky…
i hope you found some holiday inspiration! make it festive AND easy so you can enjoy the memories in the making!
sweet & simple treats…make Christmas morning merry!
