Cinco De Mayo is just around the corner and that always give us a great excuse to celebrate! I don’t know about the weather where you are, but even though the calendar says we’re approaching May…it still feels a bit like February in my neck of the woods! But that’s all the more reason to have a festive treat to beat the winter-like blues! So today I’m sharing some really simple ways to dress up your goodies for a Cinco De Mayo snack table! I love to share good DIY decorations that anyone can create…and when they’re inexpensive as well, everyone wins! I set up this tiny table using paper products in pretty pastels which was a fun way to put a new spin on a traditional party idea! No time to siesta…get ready for some sweet family fun!
celebrate with a springtime fiesta!
would you believe that all the paper decorations & supplies on this table cost less than $15?
if you scour the bargain sections, you’ll be surprised at all the goodies you’ll find! the paper plate backdrop was embellished with some dollar bin paper cacti! a little tape is all you need…and if you’re attaching these to a painted surface, just use painter’s tape to prevent any damage!
and more bargain paper shapes become adorable cupcake toppers!
a toothpick and a little hot glue will do the trick to transform them!
another budget-friendly idea: try topping a box mix or purchased cake with pastel marshmallows…so pretty AND delicious!
and instead of wrapping the base of a bottle with pretty paper…try adding it to the top! simple strips of paper and bargain bin paper flowers make a fun embellishment on one of my family’s favorite sodas! they almost resemble little party hats!
paper straws, napkins, plastic forks, and tiny hors d’oeuvres plates are cute, inexpensive, and make clean-up a breeze too! browse your favorite discount stores to stock up on neutral plates and silverware to blend with any party theme!
the simplest supplies can create spectacular treat your family will love!
happy fiesta-ing!

I think the color scheme is such a fun one! The paper plate backdrop is so clever with the cutouts and the marshmallows on the cake are such a cute idea! I’d never have thought of it and they’re perfect. The bottle wraps might just be my favorite though.
