Halloween is less than two weeks away! And if you’re as busy as everyone else seems to be this year, you might not have all your decorations out for the season! I used to go all out for Halloween…it really is one of our favorite holidays to decorate for! But as the kids have grown, I’ve really tried to dial it back a notch when it comes to my Halloween decor and only go a little crazy when we have a party! So today I’d like to share some of my simple displays and a few of my favorite things to make decorating easy! If you don’t have a lot of time on your hands you can still add some spooktacular fun to your rooms…
cast a spell…
and get your Halloween decor ready!
there’s something so whimsical and fun about Halloween decor…you can show sides of silly, elegant, cute, and even scary! and since there’s no rules when it comes to holiday decorating…do it exactly how you like! pillows are one of my favorite decorating fixes for anytime of year…toss a couple on a sofa or chair and you can effortlessly change the decor!
and on the mirror…a pinwheel garland with the addition of some die-cut jack-o-lantern shapes simply clipped to the twine!
a tray topped with a handful of wire and decorated pumpkins (from the Target dollar spot) easily add a pop of Halloween color…
on a side table i merely filled a glass container with pumpkin filler and topped it with another wire cutie!
and another dollar spot score sits atop a hutch in my living room…grinning jack-o-lanterns are perched on cupcake stands in front of the cute frame, also from the dollar bins!
one of my tin containers from last year’s mantle gets a makeover as a vase! a piece of stripey paper slipped inside covers the plastic cup holding the flowers!
tiny touches can be perfectly enough! this spooky ghost dresses up a bottle of wine and how about a simple strand of black ribbon and an orange flower to make a bottle look boo-tiful!
and last but not least, a mantle can be super festive without being super difficult! party hat topped pumpkins are so cute and easy…and a DIY fabric garland is a quick, fun, and cheerful Halloween decor project that anyone can make! cut strips of your favorite material and tie it on some twine…easy-peasy and it looks grand!
so i hope you found some inspiration for your Halloween home! get crafty or just add a pumpkin or two to get you in the spooky spirit!
easy holiday magic!
