Easy Halloween snacks come in handy this time of year! Celebrations are plenty and having some simple ideas in your back pocket will make the holiday more cheerful! Whether you’re looking for an appetizer, an after-school snack, or a party treat, these semi-homemade ideas are perfect for your festivities! I’ve rounded up some of my favorites to share today. October is just around the corner so get ready for all the treating to come!
quick & easy halloween snackin’!
one of the easiest treats to serve up is a snack mix!
fill cute treat cups with your favorite munchies and it’s certain to please!
even easier? let your guests or kiddos serve themselves…
try topping a snack cup with a second treat! these blondie bites with a cinnamon puff skull are bone chillin’ delightful!
the same puffed treats are perfect for adding to a loaf cake! a whimsical & practically effortless presentation!
or use a specialty loaf pan and box mix to create a creepy cake!
…or something cute! whoooo wouldn’t love this little guy? only decorations on this cake are the candy eyes & beak!
baking tip:
decorative pans & silicon molds are readily available in most craft and large grocery stores. they’re often very affordable and a fun, holiday baking tool to keep in your pantry for years to come! pick them up after the season on sale!
if a mold isn’t your thing, let traditional cupcakes shine in halloween style! food color can turn a treat into something sweetly sinister…
try getting crafty with DIY cheese cloth cupcake wrappers. a ghoulish way to dress up these purchased cakes!
jazz up holiday cookies by sprinkling candy on the serving tray. SUPER easy and yummy too!
charcuterie platters AND mini fire pits are popular trends! pile some s’mores fixins on a tray for tabletop fun…
OR how about hot cocoa? a great way to take the autumn chill off!
goodies for topping and dunking are all you need to fill your tray!
something savory perhaps?
this might not be a snack, but it sure has been a semi-homemade favorite throughout the years…
you can use purchased pie crusts to cut shapes for a pot pie! so fun and so delicious for a quick meal!
but if small bites are what you want…try a mini cheese & fruit charcuterie!
fill a tiny board or plate with a few nibbles in spooktacular colors. makes a delicious holiday pre-dinner snack!
creepy crawlies are ALWAYS acceptable for halloween! try making olive spiders for mini flatbread bites…
baking tip:
spread your flatbread with pesto (or pizza sauce) and mozzarella. bake in oven at 350 until cheese begins to melt. add the olive pieces and bake just a few minutes more. each spider body is made from half of an olive and the legs from slicing the remaining halves.
so whether it’s a plate of cookies, charcuterie, a pot pie, or a simple snack mix…don’t let holiday treats make you fret!
simple food and tiny details make for…
easy halloween snacks!
