Watermelon treats can have me dreaming of summertime no matter the season! And fortunately summer is here to stay for a while…and in my house that means having plenty of the refreshing fruit on hand! Not only is the watermelon itself delicious…but the flavor can turn ordinary treats into something summer-fantastic and the adorable melon makes a cute party decoration too! So today I’m really excited to share a yummy recipe AND some fun ideas to turn this summertime staple into a treat that will definitely give sweet summer feels! So let’s make a splash into the new season and show your favorite peeps that they’re one in a “melon” to you!
watermelon treats for a summertime win!
i love to serve up watermelon on a warm summer day…how about in the form of a cupcake?
this super easy watermelon cupcake is delicious AND semi-homemade…my favorite for a quick treat!
marshmallows make an effortless embellishment too…just use a toothpick to help hold it upright! and to get the swirly look to the icing…just lightly blend in the food color before piping!
sweet utensils are too cute not to include…especially for tidy nibbling!
i LOVE the little watermelons on the handles…i’ll be using these all summer so it’s a good thing there’s a bunch in the box!
since this little spread was for girlfriends, i served up some sparkling watermelon cocktails too!
don’t they look adorable in mason jars & paired with a sweet watermelon straw? and i easily embellished the jar with a strip of fabric to match the garland backdrop…
to make these easy drinks: pour a purchased watermelon sparkling cooler over some watermelon puree…SO easy and yummy! for a mocktail just use sparkling water or clear soda!
a fabric garland is always fun to create for a backdrop! i sell them locally but they’re really easy to create yourself! it’s a DIY party decoration you can customize for any event! i just tied on strips of fabric and then used fabric glue to attach black paper dots for the seeds!
so you can take some simple party supplies and a simply sweet fruit…and serve up some extraordinary summer fun!
hooray for watermelon treats!
