(You can grab the printable recipe at the end of the post) This breakfast casserole is a family favorite…and what we love best is the fact you can substitute the meat or veggies to make it just right for you and your guests! You can prepare it ahead of time too and simply bake it on the morning of your gathering so you can relax and enjoy your celebration! My mom gave me this recipe years ago…and today I’d like to share it with you!
scramble up some goodness…
i really don’t make this wonderful casserole often enough…but i decided to change that fact the other night when i made breakfast-for-dinner for my family! this recipe is really just a fancy, baked scrambled egg dish…hence the name Fancy Egg Scramble! you just saute your favorite meat, veggies, or combination…
add eggs…
and what makes it a little different is the sauce! an extra step to an easy casserole that just makes it so mouth watering good!
a simple rue gives it that yummy, nutty flavor!
add some milk & cheese…
pour over the egg and meat mixture…
brown up some buttery bread crumbs…
top it, refrigerate, and then bake when you’re ready! that’s it!
grab the printable recipe and try this delicious breakfast (or dinner) casserole soon! and if you’re planning a holiday brunch for your mom…this “egg-ceptionally” yummy treat won’t disappoint! enjoy!
