Anyone who knows me understands that I won’t turn down a chance to have a celebration! That doesn’t mean I’m throwing big bashes all the time…or even little ones for that matter. What it DOES mean however, is that I love to make even ordinary situations feel like something special…it just makes me happy and I hope it makes others happy too! So whether it’s an after school treat, a simple dinner with family and friends, the arrival of a new season, or casual gatherings on the patio after a long day of sporting activities or yard work, I LOVE to make the most of it! Clearly, the most important part of any gathering is the people involved…but it also doesn’t take much to add some festivity with simple supplies you can keep on hand! With summer in mind, I’d like to share some favorites that I recently added to my party drawer…a small space where I keep extra paper plates, napkins, and other inexpensive goodies to grab when I have a notion! Check out these favorite things that I can’t wait to use at my next everyday celebration!

some more common knowledge about me might be one of my favorite shopping locations where i can usually be found nosing around. where might this place be? well, Target of course! it really is one of my go-to places for party supplies! i LOVE the dollar spot but i also take a stroll down the party isles for fun tissues, tassels, and other paper products. these scalloped paper plates and napkins are so cheerful and non-specific that they’ll be perfect to grab if i have friends stop by or for any occasion that pops up!
the Spritz line of paper goods at Target has plenty of fun & affordable party options! the tissue paper will make a festive pompom or a liner for a tray full of goodies…so don’t forget to grab a package that matches your paper products whenever you’re party shopping! the “OK” vase by Oh Joy for Target is a favorite from a while back. i can enjoy it everyday and move it to wherever my celebration is, easily adding some elegant whimsy…i just love it!
this cute Kizmos bottle opener (also from Target) is currently on clearance…run grab yours before they’re gone! i love the color and am SO excited to add it to my summer bar cart!
another predictable favorite of mine…paper straws! the great thing about them is not only how cute they are but they’re fun to use AND now they’re so plentiful that they can be found at REALLY affordable prices! even the dollar stores offer sweet varieties so if you find some that you can’t resist…grab them! i adore this pink flamingo multi pack from Home Goods!
even if you don’t have a party on the horizon…keep some fun straws out in your kitchen and tell me it doesn’t make you smile!
and since i’m infatuated with the pink flamingos…check out these adorable tissues from Pier One! even though they’re not necessarily a party product…they’ll look darn cute in my summer handbag! (i bet i can find SOMETHING else to do with them!)
