Festive Fourth of July Fun!

The Fourth of July is right around the corner…can you believe it?  If your summer is anything like mine has been so far, it seems like I’m actually busier than when school was in session!  Fortunately, I’m slowly but surely getting into a new routine but I’m definitely missing the lazy days of summer like the ones in my childhood memories or when my boys were little!  It just seems that life was a tad slower than it is now. Even my friends with little ones still seem to be on the run more than I remember…so I’m thinking that this must be the new normal and we may as well try to embrace it!  So today I’d love to share some super easy ways to celebrate the upcoming holiday with some no-stress decorations and treats!  Even though time is fleeting, it CAN be easy to pull together some Fourth of July fun to cherish those special moments spent with family and friends!  I’m also so excited to offer my first free printable decoration just in time for your celebration or just to show some patriotic pride!  So check out the fun and let’s get “popping”, “crackling”, and “fizzing”…

i embellished little boxes with tiny pinwheels…which used to be cupcake decorations!  a fun way to recycle old decor!

a good fourth of july party needs fireworks…how about some inside your mouth?  try topping red velvet cupcakes with a childhood favorite–pop rocks!

a little firecracker in each bite…i can’t think of an easier way to add a festive surprise to a holiday treat!

favorite sodas or fizzy drinks are always a delicious sip…

a cute straw makes any drink look festive and you can tie it on with a strip of fabric!  i love this party “trick” not only because it looks cute but it’s inexpensive and so easy to match any party decor!

let’s decorate

since i love using fabric so much, i decided to add it to my favorite cake stand too!

i LOVE how the fabric pieces went from scrap to spectacular…and created a grand display for simple snack cakes!

add a topper and this lunchbox staple is now party-ready!

you can download this adorable banner created by my talented friend Amy at Alice-Louise Press!  click HERE! you can print from your own computer or run your flash drive to your favorite office supply store and have them print it for you!

the download includes four pages with easy-to-cut straight lines.  use a paper punch to string it with your favorite twine OR try tiny clips to attach it!
