Valentine’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to show some heartfelt appreciation for those we love…and a Galentine Celebration is the perfect way to include our gal pals in on the fun! This holiday isn’t just about candlelight dinners with true loves, or whimsical parties for the kiddos…friends are equally as important in our lives and I strongly believe in taking advantage of ANY opportunity to celebrate with them! So today I’ve partnered with some creative & talented gals to bring you holiday inspiration including favor ideas, easy DIY truffles, and even some free printables for you! So let’s get ready for some festivity with a…
“you’re the bomb” galentine celebration!
the party gifts…
Sunbasil Soap makes the most amazing bath bombs (and soaps, and body butters…) and my favorite sizzling spheres of goodness became the inspiration for the party theme!
these bath bombs are so delicious smelling i can’t even begin to describe! i hope you check out her Etsy shop…i know you’ll find something you LOVE!
and to top them off, these adorable, custom tags designed by Press Print Party go perfectly with my gifts! AND you can grab the direct link at the end of this post to print off your very own! just use a 2″ punch or simply cut them out! make sure to check out all the amazing valentine ideas while you’re visiting her site!
i simply wrapped up an assortment of bath bombs in cellophane, twine & the tag and dropped them into a glass so they wouldn’t roll around on the party table!
the party treats…
these “truffles” were inspired by the valentine “smooches” bath bombs! my friends at The Bakers Party Shop advised me on how to create the fun sweets for my galentine celebration!
what you’ll need…
Chocolate Chameleon Orchid Candy Color
Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut candies
white candy melts
this oil-based color is perfect for chocolate or candy melts! it won’t seize up like water-base color might!
blend several drops of the candy color into your melted chocolate until you get your desired shade…
add the hazelnut candies and coat on all sides…
lay them out on a piece of parchment…
then roll or dust with the sanding sugar and place the heart on top before the candy sets up…which happens fairly quickly.
THANK YOU to The Bakers Party Shop for giving me these instructions for creating “custom” truffles with ease!! i think they look like miniature bath bombs don’t you?
let’s talk decor…
you know how i love to keep it simple but make it look festive at the same time…and the best way to do this is think a little outside the box! do you know what these “vases” are?
if you guessed shot glass…you’re absolutely right! this sweet set of 4 made perfect galentine celebration centerpieces!
my chalk board became the backdrop…but if you don’t have one you can use a chalk marker on black poster board!!
i clipped paper hearts to my window sheers…an alternative is to use painters tape to hold the hearts AND poster board right to a wall!
celebration food never needs to be grand…truffles and a cocktail completed the menu! but i did jazz up the glasses with darling paper straws…
you gotta love these convo hearts: “hey gal” “BFF” “4EVZ” “GRL-PWR”…perfect addition for a ladies night!
and by each little plate…the party gifts!
so cute!
and i love giving gifts that let my pals pamper themselves! i know they’ll love them!
recycled fun…
you also know by now i LOVE to recycle & reuse my party supplies! the festive wrap on the cake stand is actually a leftover fiesta party lei!
you can use gentle sticky dots to hold it on if your stand isn’t perforated.
bright color, fun favors, easy treats…these are the makings of a festive galentine celebration!
who might you tell…
