Cookies and Christmas go hand in hand…and now that the holidays are upon us it’s time to let the celebrations begin! I don’t know about you but it wouldn’t seem like Christmas without a cookie swap! It’s the perfect reason for hosting a party and offers guests a platter full of sugary goodness to take home for their own festivities! I love having cookies ready all month long…not just for parties but for those unexpected situations when friends pop in! Today I’m so excited to share some merry fun with plenty of ideas on how to host your own cookie swap party and I’ve partnered with several amazing businesses to bring you this sweet fun! From the cookie station, to holiday sips, and treats & favors for the guests, this party is packed with the makings for wonderful memories! Let’s get ready to ring in the season with favorite traditions, celebrations…AND cookies!
Christmas cheer with a cookie swap!
invites let everyone know exactly how many cookies to bring! these darlings from Celebrate In Detail just make me smile!
when guests arrive have them label their baked goods so everyone knows what they’re getting! folded place cards work perfectly…
cookie time!
once they’re labeled put them on display…it’s so fun to see all the different goodies!
sugar cookies in holiday shapes are always a winner!
box ’em up!
once the table is full guests can pick their favorites and fill up a cookie box…or two!
i filled a crate with plenty of bakery boxes for guests to help themselves!
i also included pretty tissue paper, stickers and twine to make them look festive!
they look so pretty that guests could give these as gifts too!
let’s nibble & munch!
filling up cookie boxes is hard work…so have some fun treats for guests to nibble on!
sugar & spice and everything nice! the banner sums up the treats! to switch it up, mini cupcakes were on the menu!
topped with sprinkles & COOKIES of course!
wash it down!
milk is a great accompaniment to sugar…
but something warm and toasty is equally as delicious! a cocoa stand is a must-have when serving up holiday cookies & cakes…in my opinion!
a serve-yourself cocoa station is perfect for a cookie swap party! guests can sip and nibble at their leisure! just have simple toppings available…
micro marshmallows, candy, and sprinkles are festive…
the gingerbread men were perfect for the party!
and mugs with cookies on the rim also fit the cookie swap theme!
i love these tiny spoons from The Bakers Party shop for stirring up the chocolate treat!
paper fans behind the cocoa bar get a fun addition in the center! paper dots and darling oversized gingerbread confetti from FestiveFetti look as cute on the fans as they do on the treat tables!
“thanks for coming!”
party favors are always fun especially during the holidays! i love to give things guests can use, so since it was a cookie party…
i handed out favors that would be useful during the cookie baking season!
assorted cutters, recipe cards, and plastic ornaments filled with sprinkles get tied together to make sweet gifts!
i filled up a batter bowl with the goodies for guests to grab on their way out!
so if you’re in need of some holiday baked goods, festivity, and good cheer…host a cookie swap party!
holiday fun for all!

Oh Lori – there’s so many amazing details in this cookie swap party – I can’t even choose a favorite. I love how you used my confetti circles in the centers of the pinwheels – so clever. This is one cookie swap party I wouldn’t miss – so much fun to be had at this one.
