I don’t really know much about stocking a bar cart…but ever since I found mine at a garage sale I love keeping it ready for cocktails, hot cocoa, summer refreshers–and even sweets! Mine most likely doesn’t follow bar-cart etiquette…but I love to use it to display my glasses and decanters along with a few libation accessories! If we have guests coming, I can roll it where we need it and add whatever drinks we decide to serve. Until we have company, it’s fun to use seasonal touches to perk it up while it serves as storage for some of my barware and paper products. If you don’t have a traditional bar cart, not to worry…you can make a “sips” station just about anywhere! A small dresser, kitchen cart, side table…whatever goes! Even a tray works double duty for serving up some liquid refreshments…and is even easier to transport! A few holiday additions to whatever you choose and you have the perfect spot for sips & spirits! See some simple ways to dress up your drink station!
add some “spooky” to your sips…
my cart usually sits in the corner of my dining room holding some extra glassware and a couple bottles of liquor or wine…a sweet & “spooky” gift is haunting my cart this season! this favorite from Pottery Barn slips right over the unopened bottle….it would make an adorable addition to a host gift!
my metal sign holder is easily changed out for halloween…it’s great for highlighting a menu or just fun words!
easy, tissue paper tassels strung on the front hide the battery box for my fairy lights and look festive in holiday color!
i love to lay out my wine toppers…they’re useful AND pretty cute!
more holiday cocktail fun…
another whimsical addition to the cart when guests arrive…spooky ice! aren’t these skull cubes amazing!? make up a bunch and store in the freezer until it’s time to drop them into an ice bucket…guests will love these!
they come in pumpkin too…so november won’t miss out on any of the chilly fun!
this is what the ice trays look like…i’ve been racking my brain trying to remember where i got them! it must have been an impulse buy ’cause i really can’t remember! the good news is that lots of party stores carry all this stuff now making it easy to find great entertaining items!
so with just a couple holiday items my cart looks fun & spooky…and is ready to entertain! some extra plates and a package of napkins can mix in with the bar items…and i won’t forget to use them like i might if i packed them away! i don’t have lots of storage in my house so i go ahead and display things i love that are great to have handy…and keep the not-so-pretty items hidden in the cupboard!
create a drink station and the fun will be ready for halloween callers who might enjoy…
spooky sips & spirits!
