Holiday table details don’t have to be perfect to shine. In fact, if you use the things that you love you can’t go wrong! All the festivities of Christmastime can be stressful but by shopping your home you’ll find everything you need to set a pretty table that is unique to you! It’s time to gather ’round the table with family & friends and that’s one of the finest things about this season. Don’t let anything else get in the way of that joy! So today I’d like to share some last-minute inspiration for the holiday tabletop that can be easy and budget friendly too! Let’s pull up a chair and enjoy the details…
on a festive holiday table!
mis-matched dishes and decor from around the house can come together beautifully…
simple details like scattering candy canes, bells and baubles will effortlessly add whimsy and festivity!
covered dessert stands look pretty filled with sugar and a paper gingerbread house…
tiny ribbons always look extra festive and are often on-hand this time of year!
decor tip:
you can display any favorite decoration onto a covered stand. if you don’t have a dome, use a simple cake stand, a footed bowl or any container that will hold sugar or artificial snow!
extra ribbon on the napkin rings are a lovely plate detail and ties in more traditional holiday color to the table.
table setting tip:
the napkin detail was created with two napkin rings. the linen was folded into a long strip and threaded through the metal ring. the ends of the napkin simply tucked underneath. the second wreath ring was fitted around the text of the other and the ribbon tucked in. super simple but looks like a little package on the plate!
i love christmas crackers! it can be a fun tradition to include them on the table…
if you don’t have room on each plate to place one, try piling them on a tray or two instead. they can also serve as decor!
little candle holders became mini vases for some sparkly faux branches…
and more faux greens are in the centerpiece. fresh greens are always beautiful, but artificial is just as lovely and can stay “fresh” the entire season!
one final table tip: use bowls of candy, cookies or mixed nuts to fill up space. they look attractive and are delicious too!
off-the-table details…
creating christmas vibes can extend beyond the table and still be easy. include festive stir-sticks to a bar cart…
a bottle cover on a liquor cabinet. no bottle cover? a pretty ribbon will add the same festivity!
a few vintage holiday decorations are also tucked into my china cabinet. tiny details like this can add such a sweet aesthetic to your room with no design skills necessary!
a garland and fabric gingerbread house make my casual buffet holiday-ready!
this sweet decoration hangs, but it looks darling perched on this urn! some extra faux greens and a chopstick in back help hold it in place!
so pull together your favorite things this holiday…
and decorate your holiday table!
