It seemed like Easter was so far away for the longest time…but Good Friday is just over a week away! The time is just flying by, as usual, and I’m feeling like I need to get a move on when it comes to our Easter plans! So today I’m sharing some simple and sweet inspiration for the Easter table…some easy ideas for place settings, centerpieces, and dessert! You know how much I love semi homemade treats and with time being so valuable, I couldn’t help but create one more! And as far as table decorations go, the same view applies…easy and simple are definitely a priority in my book! Check out these almost effortless natural elements on a dessert table for four…
who’s hoppin’ in the garden?
a table doesn’t need to be overdone to still look special. for this little treat i wanted to keep it simple but add some natural elements that are perfect for the holiday! i started with the adorable Peter Rabbit napkins…if you ask me, you never outgrow that sweet story!
i also love bird eggs, which are always in season for Easter and springtime! these tiny speckled beauties are a favorite…
a beautiful natural element that is plentiful all year long is grapevine. you can always find pretty nests and branches at crafts stores in the floral section…
i just added a few of thoses speckled eggs to the nest…
and placed it on a egg-shaped dessert plate! so easy! if you wanted to take it a step further, you could tie or clip on a place card…but the nest looks so pretty on it’s own which makes adding a name tag easy to skip if you wish!
before we go on to the rest of the table…i’d like to share how easy it was to transform store bought cupcakes into something fitting for Peter Rabbit! one of my personal favorites is carrot cake…and there’s no better time to serve it than at Easter! i thought these looked too tasty to pass up at the grocer…
when i got them home i just gathered up some simple supplies that would turn these little cakes into miniature gardens…
chocolate jimmies make the perfect “dirt” topping! i just dunked those mini cakes right into the container…
and popped on a little bunny cookie and some candy cake decorations to make it look like a carrot patch…
i had plenty of candy carrots left over from an earlier carrot patch snack…and i might have to pick up some more since a garden theme is good all summer long! i nestled the carrots down into the icing so they looked like they were really growing…and pesky Peter is up to no good!
i used a cake stand covered in more of the edible Easter grass that i’ve been using whenever i can find a reason to!
i made a really simple centerpiece for the table by setting some containers with greens on a wooden cheese board. the little glass votive holders make wonderful substitute “vases” for some artificial air plants and one also holds the wood forks…just in case a guest would like to eat the mini cake in a dignified manner! i love incorporating useful items into a casual centerpiece…it looks pretty and serves a purpose too!
i love all the different shades of browns and greens…natural elements are so gorgeous on their own so they always make a pretty display with little effort!
and i just love the little plates from the Target dollar spot…i think they’ll make darling brunch or breakfast plates all year long!
the addition of the cute paper napkins ties my little theme together…and they just happen to be perfect for wiping sticky fingers if guests decide to forgo the forks!
a glimpse at one of my favorite tales on a simple dessert table!
once upon a time there were four little rabbits, and their names were–Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter.
