Do you love a walking taco? It’s a popular snack in my house…and a treat that’s actually really easy to serve! When you’ve got hungry boys coming around, a walking taco is not only a delicious, serve-yourself snack but it makes for easy cleanup too as you just toss the empty chip bag in the trash when you’re done! So with this grab-and-go idea in mind, I decided to create a walking taco bar as a fun way to serve up teen boys something special! And even better? I’ve partnered with Grand Rapids Popcorn to bring you some tasty additions to a savory snack table! What could be better than tacos, popcorn, and pizza on a table fit to satisfy hunger…AND the cravings of popular snack foods! The idea can be perfect for game day celebrations, birthday parties, and even graduation…which shockingly is upon us already! So if you have something to celebrate…check out the snack time fun!
walking tacos, popcorn, & pizza…oh boy!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
favorite goodies come together for a treat table that will make anyone happy!
i began with the simple garland made from snack bags! not only does it look cute…but you can eat it too!
…and did you see the little lights? a fun way to tie the “pizza” into the taco bar theme!
its’ easy to create a walking taco bar…just set out individual bags of Doritos & the fixin’s you’d put on a traditional taco and let guests serve themselves!
i kept it simple…filling containers with ground beef, cheese, lettuce, salsa & sour cream.
you can keep filling up the table or even let the kids grab from the “garland”!
and since i was also serving popcorn and “pizza”…i tried to have a little fun tying it all together!
little cups filled with pizza flavored popcorn get an extra dose of “yum” with some added pepperoni…easy AND really tasty!
you can use coffee filters to line the treat cups and keep the containers looking tidy! just press them down inside and fill ’em up!
i lined the larger boxes with parchment paper and then cut the bottoms from the filters, leaving just the ruffle at the top…it keeps the paper boxes stain free and looks cute too!
the bright, Cheddar Hot Pop is SO delicious…a spicy addition to the table!
and on the other side of the table…Parmesan Garlic!
pizza kebabs were a whimsical alternative to traditional pizza…and less messy to eat!
rock candy sticks make great skewers for baked pizza bites & pepperoni…easy to grab-and-go!
i served them in paper bake cups to hold them upright…and used an old vinyl record for a tray!
it’s always fun to add something whimsical or unexpected to a party table!
and if you’re serving beverages in a bottles…
it’s really helpful to have an opener on hand! even though most are twist-off, they can sometimes be difficult especially for younger kiddos!
party favors
cute favors are fun…but not always necessary if you’re throwing a big party such as a graduation bash! but if it’s a smaller celebration or for the younger kids, a sweet gesture of “thanks for coming” is always appreciated. i loved these adorable, gummy pizzas for a funny & tasty gift!
how cute are these mini pizza boxes?
and inside…a silly, gummy pizza pie! though i’m not sure i’ve ever had an egg on my pizza!
i hope you’ve enjoyed these walking taco bar ideas!
simple & delicious snack foods can definitely be the theme of any party!
happy munching!

So your party favors had gummy eggs on the pizza and that may look weird to you but it’s delicious. If you ever get to Europe, try a egg on your pizza! They’re the best! But it has to be right out of the oven on a thin crust pizza…. oh my mouth is watering now. It was one of my favorite thing to order at the pizza restaurant when I was a kid.

I love this party oh so much! That chip banner is adorable. I could have used the tip about the coffee filter in the popcorn boxes last weekend — thanks for sharing! Also egg on pizza is the best and I agree with what Press Print Party said.

This is so cute! Any tips on keeping things warm?

Oh thank you! Keeping goodies warm can be a struggle! For smaller groups i like to keep the servings smaller and keep extra meat in an oven safe dish to replace the other when it gets cool. Or you could use a small crock pot or chafing dish. I’ve even set a small baking sheet on a cooling rack with a couple tea lights underneath to keep the tray warm. Just be sure to label that it’s hot so guests don’t touch the surface, especially if they’re kids! Hope these ideas help!

Oh thank you so much! I don’t know your location but if you go to faygo.com there is a store locator on the top of the homepage. Some grocery stores carry limited bottles and retro candy stores often carry them! I just love the old fashioned look!! Good luck finding some in your area!
