Llama theme parties are really a trend! And what’s not to love? Those adorable, fuzzy creatures are just so cute and hard to resist! Even though they’re a popular theme for little girls…there’s no rule that says you can’t have a little llama fun with the adult ladies too! Since springtime is finally here and Mother’s Day will soon be on the horizon, I’m sharing some llama theme fun with a Llamas & Mamas Mother’s Day Luncheon! I was so excited to create this party for the spring edition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine…one of my favorite publications for all sorts of party inspiration! This intimate soiree for two moms and their mamas was showcased in the magazine as a whimsical way to celebrate the holiday! And today I’m sharing even more from that sweet party to celebrate moms of all ages! Whether you’re a brand new mom, have held the position for a while, have grand babies or participate in a child’s life…motherhood is such a reason for celebration! Let’s gather and have some fun…with llamas AND mamas!
llama theme…mama party!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
every party needs some fun decorations…and since it’s a holiday celebration it’s always festive to include cute prints!
using desert colors and adorable designs, my friend from Elva M. Designs created some really fun prints for the table and to label the goodies! you just print…
and cut them out!
the lunch buffet…
i love serve-yourself style parties so i filled the sideboard with individual servings of lunch items. i also covered my buffet with a furry throw…similar to the wool coat a llama wears!
since it was a llama theme another cute print is nestled in with the food!
a tiered stand holds mini cups of fruit salad and sugared pecans to sprinkle on top!
tiny forks sit on the cocktail cups…and are the only utensils really needed for the entire lunch!
a bowl holds simple egg salad sandwiches wrapped in parchment…
and topped with adorable llama theme picks…and a cactus or two!
a friend of mine gave me this cute “salad” idea…
endive is topped with ceasar dressing and bacon…a salad you can eat with your hands! so simple yet soooo delicious!
and sitting next to the rose gold stand full of salad bites…simple lunch bags filled with kettle chips!
held closed with a llama clip of course!
sips!
drinks and desserts were displayed on an adjacent table. a weathered piece of wood serves as the rustic backdrop…and allowed me to hang some succulent-filled wall pockets and a banner with simple push pins!
iced tea was served up in a big dispenser…
try adding herbs, fruit, spices and even liqueur to make it custom. i used mason jars to hold the choices and labeled them with more of the cute tags!
sweets!
the dessert choices were pretty simple but no less festive! cakes and macarons were only goodies on the sweet-stuff menu!
how adorable are these darling macarons from Crumbs & Crumbles!
and in flavors such as Nutella and Snickerdoodle…well, they didn’t last long! but they did look darling nestled in some shred on a gorgeous, crystal Amalfi Decor stand!
you can ask for custom cake colors at any bakery…so have fun and try topping a grocer creation with something fun like a handful of poms!
and on a small cart in the room sits another mini cake that could even go home as a special favor! some extra vino is there for after lunch…it IS an adult celebration after all!
set the table!
llama theme decorations carried over to the table in some fun plates and tiny touches!
the centerpiece…a rustic tray filled with tissue paper topiaries, poms and a little llama planter! sweet & easy!
since cacti goes hand-in-hand with a llama theme, there were extra pops of the prickly guys here and there. the tea stir-sticks were another tiny detail that packs a cute punch!
but the most whimsical fun on the table were the salad plates! some silly llama faces bring on the joy…and the addition of a delicious truffle doesn’t hurt either!
the mix of color just adds so much fun!
and the tiny place cards are simply placed on top of a greenery twig…
casual and cute!
so if you’re looking to have a special holiday celebration with your mama…
a llama theme might just be for you!
cheers to llamas…and mamas!
