Shamrock biscuits just might make your family smile when they sit down for breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day! I love to serve up something fun during the holidays…and St. Paddy’s Day is no exception. But with everyone being so busy it can seem overwhelming to try and create an entire party setup for one little breakfast or snack! Something special never needs to be over-the-top…the simple little things are equally appreciated AND equally cute! So today I want to share a really easy treat you can add to the breakfast or dinner table…and you might have everything you need in your fridge & pantry! So let’s get right to it today and bake up some Leprechaun love…
easy, shamrock biscuits!
you can spruce up a simple, cereal breakfast with these warm, flaky shamrocks!
all you need to get started is a can of refrigerated biscuits, sprinkles or sanding sugar, and a pair of kitchen scissors!
once you open the biscuits, set one aside to use for the “stems”. with a knife, mark out a pattern on the remaining dough rounds to create the leaves….
then with the scissors, cut out the triangles. you can also make another little snip at the top of each shamrock leaf if desired. then cut strips from the leftover biscuit to create the stems.
assemble the shamrocks, top with green sugar or sprinkles, and place on a parchment lined baking pan.
use your fingers to shape the edges of the leaves so they have a slightly rounder appearance…it doesn’t have to be perfect!
hot from the oven…
bake the biscuits according to the package…and when they come out, you’ve got green, flaky yumminess!
some get a little puffy but they still resemble shamrocks…and they taste great too!
the topping of sugar makes them slightly sweet…a toasty treat for a holiday meal!
Lucky Charms and warm biscuits…a simple but much appreciated breakfast!
an easy idea for a very lucky morning!
pin for later~
