Natural elements are wonderful for fall decorating! Not only are they beautiful, but they can be inexpensive too! You can often find lovely branches, berries, and pine cones in your own backyard. Other economical goodies are still readily available at local farm markets or grocery stores. Today I’d like to share some easy ways to use these items to make a bountiful Thanksgiving table and still stay in budget! Mixing and matching what you already have with natural beauties will create a welcoming table for the holiday feast! Let’s get to it today…the holiday countdown is on!
naturally beautiful Thanksgiving!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own.
berries, branches, pumpkins & gourds can make a table full and inviting…
a large cutting board made a rustic base for the cluster of fall elements!
centerpiece details
gathering the goods on a platter, tray or board will make a centerpiece statement…
unshelled nuts and dried grass fill the gaps between the larger elements.
the candles are adorned with a pretty wreath of faux, dried and fresh berries and greens…
decorating tip:
the candles shown here are refillable candles that won’t burn down. i wouldn’t recommend adding any embellishments that could catch fire if using traditional candles. a faux greenery napkin ring was the base for tucking in the dried and fresh berries around the base. you could also use an oasis to keep the “wreath” fresh.
small vases filled with leftover berries make a lovely table detail…
not only are they pretty, but they can make the table feel full…
these “vases” are actually empty candle containers. a fun way to recycle!
a place for guests
place settings can seem daunting…but if you don’t worry about rules you’ll have more fun setting the table!
paper napkins are layered on top along side traditional linens.
i think they look cute for thanksgiving and who says you can’t use two?
a sprig of berries is tucked into each linen…
casually tied with twine but is a detail that makes a holiday meal feel special!
the addition of the linen napkins makes the table look elegant but it also fills up space making it appear bountiful!
soup’s on!
when i serve starters i love to put them on the table from the get-go. a pretty soup tureen is fun for special occasions…
if you don’t have small soup bowls, try a little ramekin at each place setting. just the right size for an appetizer…
breaking bread
loaves of crusty bread are always delicious and look beautiful too…
rustic loaves blend beautifully with natural elements…have a couple on hand because crusty bread goes fast when you’re sopping up gravy!
you can almost smell it right?
extra details
i love simple & natural thanksgiving decor. the buffet holds a bowl of gourds and branches cut from the yard create a seasonal backdrop!
such an easy way to make the holiday room look special!
so let nature help you celebrate thanksgiving this year!
may you have a wonderful holiday feast!
