Not-so-spooky skeleton treats might be up your Halloween alley if you’re not into the creepy stuff! I find some traditionally spooky decor to be hauntingly beautiful…but I still like to soften the edges a bit! So if you have littles, or you just don’t like super scary or gory holiday snack food, this treat table will be for you! With some fresh flowers and fruit you can create a pretty display that will still give off the Halloween vibes AND you can eat part of the decor! Today I’ll share some simple inspiration for celebrating with your favorite ghouls & goblins in a yummy way…
not-so-spooky never looked so sweet!
black & white is always a great color combo for Halloween…
adding in the colors & textures of fruit and flowers takes the edge off the “skull” theme!
you might recognize the styrofoam skulls from my floral centerpiece a while back…they make great cake toppers too!
tiny details help make any spread shine! tucking extra berries, figs & flowers around the base is a beautiful touch and easy to do!
spice cakes baked in a molded pan are a whimsical Halloween treat that will make you smile!
i dusted the pan with cocoa powder and i love the mottled look it created on these grinning guys!
more flowers & fruit!
a skull vase makes a fun & unexpected vessel for some juicy pears and more pretty figs…
something healthy to munch on is a great addition…and it looks lovely too!
and the non-edible centerpiece is a haunted mix of dried & artificial flowers, moss and fresh eucalyptus tucked in!
these lovely blooms made from wood have a ghostly appearance and can be reused for many seasons!
not-so-spooky sips!
apple cider is anything but scary…
especially served in a fun, shopping find…they look pretty happy if you ask me!
sliced pears and berries make a pretty garnish to the simple sips…
and the finishing touch…a pretty paper straw and a “spooky” stir-stick!
creating something that will please all…
not-so-spooky skeleton treats…make a happy Halloween!
