Old-fashioned peach cobbler is one of my favorite summertime desserts! It’s a hit with my entire family and is one of the easiest recipes to whip up for any kind of treat or celebration!  This cobbler is made with canned peaches making it so quick and effortless…but that doesn’t mean it skimps on taste!  You can use fresh peaches if you’d like, but my family prefers the canned variety for this particular dessert.  So with just a few items in the pantry, you can treat family or guests to a delicious, old-fashioned peach cobbler that simply tastes like summer!  I can’t wait to share this yummy and easy recipe with you so you can treat your peeps to something peachy!  Let’s get baking once again and turn a simple treat into a celebration!

i found some vintage doilies in my linen drawer and they blended perfectly with the cute napkins!  it’s a good idea to scour your supplies because you often find decorative goodies you forgot you had!

and the paper plates have raised edges making them perfect for holding ice cream…which is tucked inside the ice bucket!

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Drain the canned peaches and add to a medium bowl. (if using fresh peaches, peel and thinly slice the peaches, approximately 6-8 peaches, and add 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice). Add the remaining first group ingredients and toss to evenly coat the fruit. Place in a 2 quart baking dish and bake for 5 minutes (10 minutes if using fresh fruit)
  2. In a large bowl combine flour, white & brown sugars, baking powder, and salt. Blend in butter with a pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles a course meal. Stir in water until just combined into a batter.
  3. Remove peaches from the oven and drop spoonfuls of the batter over the top.
  4. Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over entire cobbler. Bake until topping is golden and edges are bubbly, about 30 minutes. Cool or serve slightly warm. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.

Oh thank you so much! I really appreciate that! The ice cream container is actually a vintage ice bucket I found at a flea market but I have seen some sort of similar on Amazon. And that old scoop is vintage too but I bet you could find one on Etsy…maybe even the ice bucket! xo
