One thing I love about the holiday season is the chance to take in as much inspiration as I possibly can! I have so much fun browsing the shops…you can get so many ideas for entertaining and decorating just by checking out all the displays! And what would make this inspiration seeking even more fun? To do it with friends! On Friday afternoon I had the opportunity to head over to a wonderful little antique shop that I’ve been dying to see! The Butter Beans Antiques Barn (also known as Butter Beans or Butter Barn) has come up in many conversations…my friends who’ve been there sing its praises and have been urging me to go! But life always seems to get in the way and shockingly, it’s been over a year since i found out about this darling treasure trove! So a couple of girlfriends and I hopped in the car and headed across the Michigan border to seek out all the fun! Check out the link to the Butter Bean Facebook page so you can find out when they open their doors to the public and get plenty of inspiration for yourself! If you’re in the southeast Michigan or Northwest Ohio area you really need to check them out! This past weekend they had a holiday open house…let me share a glimpse of the joy!
merry and bright holiday outing…
so this sweet little antique store is not very far from me at all…which is a good thing too because it looks like i’ll be heading up there whenever they’re open which is usually once a month! i’m sure it’s just as darling all year long, but the entire shop was decked for the holidays and was completely cozy and inviting! i literally had to walk the shop several time to take it all in. and each time around i’d spy something new! check out the joy…
i’m in love with this chandelier…and i’m certain my hubby’s happy we don’t need one!
loving all the little details in their displays like the Christmas candy molds behind the bowl…
and look at this cute little flash card! i’m kicking myself for not getting it…how adorable to tuck into a Christmas wreath!
sweet little bottle brush trees…
and i adore the way they wrapped the bunches of lavender with the papers tied with holly sprigs!
everywhere you turn is a display full of inspiration…
this bowl is filled with German flash cards! i bought some…not sure exactly what i’m going to do with them yet but they were so cute and unusual i couldn’t resist!
i love everything to the moon and back about this display!
every corner of this place was wonderful…if you get a chance, i REALLY recommend a visit!
now i just need to figure out what i’m going to do with all my treasures!
holiday inspiration from the Butter Bean!
i’m really excited to be a part of the 2016 Holiday Party Hop which begins today! you can “hop” along to blogs all week long for plenty of holiday entertaining inspiration! i’m happy to be a host on friday, but the fun starts this morning…head over to mirabellacreations to get started!
