A Valentine snack table is always a fun way to celebrate the season and it doesn’t need to be crazy elaborate to produce a smile or two from the ones you love! This is a great thing…because this year it already seems like the time is flying by and I don’t want to miss out on any of the Valentine fun! Whether you’re serving a treat to your kids, dishing out some sugar to guests, or having a few girls in for ladies night fun, it can be super simple to create something festive! I’d love to share some of my favorite “tricks” for styling a simple Valentine display with easy goodies and budget friendly decorations to go with them! All you need is a small table, a beverage cart, tray, or a clear space on your kitchen counter to display the goods! You can keep some basic items in your pantry and whip up a wonderful treat in a pinch…so let’s let love fill the air and get started!

Winter treats are the perfect way to beat the winter blues! Now that the holiday festivities are over it seems everyone is ready to freshen up, organize spaces, get moving, and cut back on the sugary desserts…at least for a while! I’m right there with the majority trying to accomplish these January goals…but I just can’t completely forgo the goodies! Because I’m generally an everything-in-moderation kind of gal, I’m still going to occasionally serve up the sweets for my family and friends to indulge on while we brave the winter! And since it seems that almost the entire nation has been in a deep freeze for most of the holiday break, I decided to serve some January goodies that would reflect this current weather situation! To keep our spirits up while we were hunkered down indoors I whipped up some sweet, winter fun by setting up a simple dessert table that would even satisfy Jack Frost! So if you need some party inspiration or just want to celebrate a snow day…check out the fun!

Christmas morning breakfast doesn’t really happen in my house…it seems everyone wants to get right down to business unwrapping the pretty packages under the tree! This year I decided to try something new…a little morning treat table with just a couple goodies that are perfect to grab-and-go! We normally sit down in the evening to our Christmas supper so light appetizers for lunch is usually our routine…but breakfast is often an afterthought, sidelined by all the gifts and unwrapping frenzy! Even though I’m not really expecting everyone to eat BEFORE the unwrapping begins…I’ll at least have some food out for the taking amidst the festivities! If you have a doggie member of the family then you know how fun it is to treat them to special goodies…just like we do for all our loved ones! They deserve special “desserts” from time-to-time…so why not have some fun in the kitchen and whip up a batch of homemade treats for the pups in your life! It’s a fun thing for the kiddos to help with too…and they’ll have such a good time serving the “sweets” to their four-legged family members! I’ve never tried making homemade dog treats before, but a friend shared a recipe that sounded so easy that I thought I’d give it a whirl! It was so fun to make them…and Buddy (our pup) loved gobbling them up too! So if you have a dog or know a dog lover…you might want to give this recipe a try!
