Patriotic picnic snacks can be super easy and still be festive! If you’re like me, this spring has been extra crazy and simple ideas that I can pull off are much appreciated! After taking some time off to celebrate both my boys graduating (from HS AND college!) I’m really ready to kick back and relax. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want our holiday celebrations to feel like an afterthought. So today I’m sharing a few simple ways to create patriotic picnic snacks that you can add to your 4th of July BBQ with no extra fuss! It’s time to start celebrating again…but we should keep the stress at bay! Take a peek at a few ways you can bring some delicious joy to your holiday festivities…
simple patriotic fun!
we love to celebrate outdoors all summer…and that goes for the 4th too. simple snacks presented in a fun way are sure to please everyone while we relax on the patio!
i keep all my picnic supplies in a DIY crate i created a few years ago. i love to pile in paper products & other goodies so i can easily move wherever i need it!
the old jeans are simply tacked in place on the front, and the pocket is perfect for holding utensils…or in this case, sparklers!
i’m so in love with the new shapes! i couldn’t resist these stars for a “stars & stripes” holiday…
sweet snacks…holiday style!
nibbles and bite-size goodies are perfect for picnics. how fun are these decorated tea cakes looking fine in patriotic style!
i found these at my local grocer but thought this idea was too good not to share! you could easily recreate this with your own tea cakes or even glaze doughnut holes in a similar fashion!
a holiday tray or platter can take simple snacks to the next level…
and you never need fancy nibbles…i used some of our faves. strawberries and chocolate mousse…
and the easiest goodies from the pantry & fridge!
you can make salami look pretty by folding the round in half, then rolling it into a cone shape. it gives it more dimension on the platter and looks cute too!
party tip~
you don’t need fancy plates & platters to make a festive spread! add holiday fun to your snacks by using a colorful bowl for nuts or spreads, tuck in a patriotic cupcake topper or tiny flag, or add more red, white & blue candies. a little detail can add a big impact!
fireworks in a bottle!
one of the easiest ways add festivity to your picnic is with beverages. many companies offer limited flavors or whimsical packaging just right for holidays…like these “firework” sodas!
or just pick a patriotic color…easy to find and fun to drink!
last, but not least, pretty flowers always make a table shine. a little red bucket makes a rustic vase for a minimal bouquet…
party tip~
if you don’t have red, white or blue containers, try using a clear jar tied with a holiday ribbon, cluster colorful soda bottles for single stems or flags, or pop a potted plant on the table with a flag or banner tucked in!
have happy fourth of july fun…
all summer long!
