One of my favorite ways to celebrate summer is with a pineapple party…and it never has to be an over-the-top bash to make it feel special! I was thinking the other day about what it is that I love the most about entertaining…while it’s always fun to plan a big event, it’s the small, intimate gatherings that I truly adore! I really love sharing simple and inexpensive ways to make any opportunity a reason to celebrate…and summer is the perfect time for those “ordinary day” occasions! Warm temperatures, refreshing treats, and fruity flavors served on the patio are some of my favorite things about this season…and having a few friends enjoy them with me is the icing on the cake! I’d love to share some simple pineapple fun with a rosy twist…
pretty in pink pineapple party!
giggle living may have received payment and/or product. however i only endorse products i love and all opinions are my own
one of the best things about intimate gatherings…is that they’re, well, intimate! a wonderful way to catch up with friends and you can keep it simple and still have it look great!
you know by now that i’m a fan of semi-homemade goodies. there’s so many wonderful grocery desserts that you can easily dress up to fit your theme…like these pink angel food cakes topped with frozen, chocolate covered pineapples! the heat made them sweat a tad but i can assure you that the temperature didn’t affect the taste!
these icy fruit bites were a delicious addition to the shortcakes and fit the theme perfectly!
a pretty flower and a dollop of ice cream just before serving made this a beautifully easy AND yummy summer dessert!
another grocery store favorite of mine–cake pops! i love to keep them in my freezer for a refreshing treat on a hot day!
i added some artificial grass to make these tasty bites look like little pink pineapples!
and how sweet do these pineapple-inspired desserts look on this pink mirrored stand! a pedestal is the easiest way to make a small spread look grand and the mirror reflects all the pretty goodies on top!
easy diy…
i LOVE diy decorations…and a smaller gathering is the perfect opportunity let some crafting make your party unique! with some simple die-cut shapes i effortlessly made this garland to hang from my patio “buffet” which is a $2 garage sale desk…yes, i said $2 with a frame attached to the back!
here’s how i made it:
with a craft stick i “painted” on random “v” shapes to the paper…
covered them in gold glitter…
shook it off…and there you have it! super simple but a sweet, handcrafted detail for the buffet!
i punched holes to thread it onto some twine along with some leftover pineapples from a party last year! (i always keep a storage box in my craft room with good condition leftovers…really helpful for the decorating budget! )
another super easy diy and one of my favorite summer decoration ideas…a painted pineapple!
so simple to do…a can of spray paint does the trick! flowers at the base make a simple yet gorgeous centerpiece on this tray!
pink lemonade with a splash of pineapple juice is the perfect summer refresher!
and a great, time-saving way to make food or drink labels is with a darling tag! you can find sweet ones like this in any craft store! i also keep a pretty ink pen on hand…they come in all colors so pick a few favorites for last-minute labeling!
i hope you found some inspiration for your next summer gathering…even if you don’t have a “special” occasion you can make it look sweet without a lot of fuss!
so party like a pink pineapple!

What a fun idea. I especially love how the color was used throughout, and how this could be done with any color or theme.

Thanks Holly! You know I love chances to use pink! I actually researched and last year the FDA approved a rose pineapple!! I think it’s Delmonte that created it and it’s pink inside! I couldn’t find one in the stores though! But I’d love to try one!

Eeek I LOVE this design! Your garage sale desk is such an awesome find. I need to add to my cool furniture collection so I can change up my serving options. Love the frame behind and the garland and adding the grass to the pops was pure genius! I love everything that comes out of that beautiful head!!

Aww, you’re so sweet Bri! Thank you so much for all the love!! I do love that little desk…it actually has a burn spot, or almost a hole on the top corner which is why I’m sure it was $2 but I keep it covered with a tray or drink dispenser! 😉
