It’s pool party time! We’ve now experienced our first official heavy-duty heatwave so pool-time fun is on everyone’s minds! And not to fret if you don’t have a swimming hole in your backyard…you can still get in on summertime fun! Today I’m sharing some easy ideas for pool-inspired decorations, invitations, and treat ideas for any kind of summer celebration! I may not have a yard fit for a pool…but that won’t discourage me from using the splish-splashy theme for a treat table on a hot summer evening! So today I’ve got some easy inspiration that will still remind guests of poolside festivities! I’m also sharing how easy it is to gather your friends together using Paperless Post. A super convenient way to customize invitations for ANY kind of party! AND as a special bonus, you’ll also find the links to some of my favorite foodie bloggers who are sharing recipes for pool party munching! So let’s make a splash into…
pool party fun!

you know i love easy entertaining…and that includes invitations! with Paperless Post it’s so incredibly easy to invite guests in a customized way! i created this sweet invitation that will fit my casual summer gathering perfectly…
you can design a matching envelope too! i honestly had so much fun playing with all the options!
pool-inspired treat table!
even though i don’t have an actual pool…my table can pretend it’s poolside! this portable table is lightweight an easy to tuck into the back yard…
a paper garland can be taped right to the front to add some extra summer color and is a pretty detail that takes little effort!
flamingos & flowers centerpiece ideas!
the centerpiece is my version of a mini “pool” right on the table…and it wouldn’t be complete without a flamingo float!
it just happens that this festive flamingo is really a drink float holding a plastic tumbler filled with flowers!
the “pool” is merely an acrylic ice bucket…i love how the arrangement floats around just like the full-size version would!
you could use any water-tight container for this whimsical centerpiece idea!
simply festive sweets!
cupcakes are always delicious treat to serve and these colorful cakes couldn’t be more cheerful!
i topped each with a “beach ball” gumball and a daisy “umbrella”!
if the weather is steamy you can slide some floral wire right up inside the stem for extra support! i just love how they resemble a poolside umbrella!
and since daisies topped the cakes…i stretched a floral headband around the pedestal! funny how you can find the right decor ANYWHERE…like the hair styling section! 😉
“flip” for fun labels!
you can’t go to a pool party without flip flops…so why not have them right on the table?
how cute is this one decorated with stickers to label the cakes?
sips & sandals!
even the drinks get in on the action. and when the party is over…you can remove the stickers and wear ’em!
acrylic treat containers made mini ice buckets to hold small selections of cool beverages…
and how cute is this recycled wine bottle for a vase?
flowers and a mini yard flamingo are just right for making another simple centerpiece!
whimsical paper plates mimic the invitations…
and even though my guests can’t dive in for heat relief…this colorful spread is still a happy, summer sight!
we pool deprived people can still have fun…
with summertime sips & sweets…poolside inspired!

Hi!
How did you put the flowers in the flamingo blow up? That is so adorable! I would love to make one if you can give me your trick to putting these together 😊

Hi! I actually used a plastic cocktail cup to hold the flowers! It fit perfectly in the cup holder part of the floatie!
