Now that all my After Prom responsibilities have ended, I’m feeling like my life is getting back to normal! I’ve now had a chance to attempt to catch up on laundry, house cleaning, yard work, and of course taking care of my family! But I’ve also had some time to work on my Giggle creations and get back to Alice-Louise Press to help revamp the window and some displays! I can’t tell you how much I LOVE doing this! Since I was a visual merchandiser in my life before kids, it’s so much fun to once again have a chance to create fun vignettes with all the lovely things in the shop! And bonus, I got to spend time with my friends! I spent yesterday chatting and catching up on all the events that transpired over the past couple weeks, eating delicious PerrysBurger hamburgers, and spending time in Downtown Perrysburg…which actually makes me feel like I’m on vacation even though we were working! It was a beautiful, summer-like day to get the shop ready for the Farmer’s Market happening on Thursday…another wonderful reason to head on down to Louisiana Ave.! Have a look at the fun we had…
setting up shop!
it always amazes me what a difference it makes when you make little changes…it doesn’t matter if it’s a shop vignette or a display in a home, sometimes mixing it up a bit is all you need to make your surroundings feel fresh! so to make room for a large wedding display & new merchandise, we gathered up the goodies already in the shop and moved ’em around!
i love the ladder we took from the window for holding gift bags, twine, and flour sack tea towels!
i spy some Giggle jars…and the oversized rick-rack ribbon is to die for!
a new, bright-white sideboard looks lovely…
i love the color combo in this display…it’s so fresh & pretty!
something for the grad?
there’s still a few gift items left if you need a great graduation gift idea…message boards, journals, props for a party…
and of course, CARDS!
patriotic parties are coming soon!
red, white, and blue never goes out of style!
an adorable invitation for a patriotic wedding is displayed with a Giggle magnet board. i was so lucky to find the vintage R W & B jewels to make magnets for the holiday…
and some jeweled bottle toppers! they’d look so festive on a patriotic bar cart!
new cupcake stands for your sweets…looks yummy even though it’s fake!
remember the wine sacks?
one of my favorite A-L P creations gets a new spot in the shop!
i just LOVE these bags…and at $1.99 how can you go wrong?
i think they look wonderful paired with Giggle bottle toppers!
it’s wedding season!
any shop who creates invitations has weddings on the brain this time of year…so the goal of our work today was to pay homage to this busy bridal season! we are gathered here today to…design a wedding display!
besides the gorgeous wedding invitations created by Amy, you can also find just about anything you may need for a shower, reception, or a gift for the newlyweds!
from home decor, cake & dessert servers, custom gifts, wrapping supplies, thank-you cards and albums…you’re bound to find something useful AND unique for the bride & groom!
and then the window…
a simple design to highlight the beautiful invitations…the globes mimic oversized balloons with an invitation “tassel” hanging below! and the vanity draped with a veil sits below another invite and a photo of my mom & dad! if you look closely you’ll see the ribbon & pearl curtain we made for the doorway at the after prom party (minus the black ribbons)…i love to recycle!
i’m particularly fond of that photo!
it’s always a fun time…
playing & talking shop!
check out Downtown Perrysburg on Thursdays from 3-8 for the Farmers Market…many lovely shops are open including Alice-Louise Press! see you there!
