Snow Day Snow Cone!

What a winter we’ve had!  We rarely have snow days around here but this year we’ve had several…much to the delight of my children and I’m sure many more!  Today’s post was inspired by a school project that was assigned yesterday in anticipation of our day off!  Kids were told to make a snow cone from the fresh blanket that covers our village!  What a great idea–and a lot of fun!  Here’s a peek at another snow day activity that brought smiles to everyone!

a great way to fill snowy hours!

a few easy pantry items and you have icy fun!  we made a syrup from left-over red hot candies, sugar and juice (but unaltered juice worked well–& you could try soda too!)

we happened to have some remnants of summer on hand–but if you don’t have paper cones a bowl will work perfectly!
