Snowman cinnamon rolls will be a sweet winter treat! Serve them up for breakfast, brunch or even an after school snack. You may have seen these cuties circulating social media during the holidays, but just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean the sweet fun needs to be! You can make them whimsical for the kiddos or create a more grownup version, which is what I’m sharing today. Either way, this super simple sweet treat will bring bright smiles and happy tummies during the long winter! Try making a breakfast charcuterie with a winter twist…
let’s bake a snowman!
cold winter mornings will welcome this cute board full of gooey goodness and fruit!
here’s what you’ll need:
2 packages refrigerated cinnamon rolls
strawberries (for bow tie)
blueberries (for buttons)
pretzel sticks (arms)
any additional fruit you like
platter or board for serving
open both packages of rolls so you have them ready to build…
line a baking sheet with parchment and begin with the head by re-rolling two buns together…
you can make the hat with about 1/2 of a bun. just pinch it together to create a top hat shape…
continue with the rest of the body until you reach the size you like…
baking tip:
using parchment will allow you to shift your snowman around a bit on the tray if needed. i highly recommend using it. it will also help you to slide him off the tray with ease! using a baking pan without sides is easiest, but you can carefully slip the parchment over the sides of a traditional pan too.
once you have the shape you love it’s time to bake him according to the cinnamon roll package instructions.
once out of the oven, let him cool slightly so he won’t break apart. then carefully slide the parchment off the tray to your serving board…
gently hold the snowman, pull the paper out from beneath, and frost his head & body with the packaged icing…
add his arms & buttons and begin placing the fruit around him on your platter…
make a berry bow tie to create a fun twist…
bow tie instructions:
it takes two strawberries to create the bow tie. cut one stemmed berry in half to make the loops of the bow. cut the tip off of your second berry to place in the middle as the knot! easy peasy!
place your bow on the neck of the snowman to complete the look. i think he looks pretty dapper don’t you?
finish adding your fruit…and you have a darling breakfast idea that will be sure to bring smiles to the table!
