St. Patrick’s Day is one of my family’s favorite holidays…in part, because we actually have some Irish roots! When my boys were little it would have been a travesty to not celebrate as they were convinced that they were full-blooded Irishmen! We made Leprechaun traps, filled shoes with coins, even had to clean up the mess those pesky little Irish guys (that we never did catch) would leave behind…all such fun memories! But now that the boys are older those sweet activities have come to an end…but not the celebrating! I still leave coins in the shoes (replaced with dollar bills) AND make our traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner…and anyone with teenage boys will understand that serving up loads of meat is equally exciting to them as the fun & games were when they were little! Because it has been such a tradition to celebrate in some manner throughout the years, i still try to offer up a special holiday breakfast or whimsical snacks for my my family…but ALSO try to keep it simple! So today I’m so excited to have partnered with Grand Rapids Popcorn Company to bring you some really “poppin” sweet St. Patrick’s Day fun! Check out these delicious and EASY ideas…
serve up some luck ‘o the Irish for St. Patrick’s Day!
this simple spread consists of sandwiches, sweets, and POPCORN…it doesn’t get much easier than that! this festive Clover Crunch will definitely please leprechauns of all ages!
easy DIY…
let’s serve it up in a whimsical, DIY container! just grab some craft cones and your favorite trim…
use a glue gun, glue stick or even sticky dots to attach the trim around the rim…a festive way to dish out a snack mix or create a cute party favor!
leprechauns love popcorn!
i love how they look filled with this colorful popcorn! a little sweet & crunchy treat with hints of green apple and vanilla…a perfect compliment to the snack table!
a candy container is a great way to hold the cones…and since it’s clear, you can add colorful poms for some extra green!
more candy containers hold some classic White Salted Popcorn…a little savory to compliment the sweet!
pot ‘o gold!
every Irish celebration needs a little JACKPOT at the end of the RAINBOW! combine them both with cupcake liners filled with Skittles & chocolate coins…
add the extras to the icing on the cakes…
the easiest way to adorn these minis…
corned beef & cabbage…
preparing corned beef and cabbage is often a St. Patrick’s Day tradition but you can try this simple twist…cb&c sliders!
let your deli help you out and stack up some sliced corned beef with shredded cabbage for a tasty twist!
a dollop of thousand island dressing and a flag make these super simple sandwiches as yummy & cute as they are easy!
line ’em up and watch them disappear…
lucky sips…
wash it all down with your favorite drinks…
and a festive straw of course!
bring the luck ‘o the Irish to your table this year and make those leprechauns happy!
guaranteed to prevent shenanigans!
happy munching!
