Who wouldn’t love waking up to Easter coffee and doughnuts to start the holiday off on a happy note?  Even if you’re not hosting a big holiday feast, you can still surprise your family or friends to a sweet morning treat!  And if you have non-coffee drinkers in your midst, substitute with tea or even hot cocoa…both perfectly acceptable to pair with a doughnut!  Easter is just around the corner, but this super simple setup is the easiest to pull together for a last-minute celebration.  Perfect to whip up for an afternoon pick-me-up with friends or even a holiday after school snack!  Mix and match what you’ve got around the house and put on the coffee!

Holiday Waffle Bar

A waffle bar is always a fun idea for a breakfast or brunch celebration…but it can also be a sweet surprise on any ordinary day!  What I love best about this kind of morning treat is that you most likely have everything you need right in your freezer, fridge or pantry!  If you have kids you probably have frozen waffles or pancakes on hand…and if you don’t, you can easily add them to your grocery list!  We always have waffles in the freezer, they’re great for picky breakfast eaters but equally wonderful for after school snacks!  You can do so many delicious things with a waffle…make them sweet, make them savory, keep them healthy, or even indulge on some cheat-worthy additions for an over-the-top sugar fix!  And since they don’t have to be just for breakfast, they’re the perfect choice for a holiday treat! Today I’d love to share how easy it can be to create a waffle bar with a simple Easter theme! Serve it in the morning, afternoon, or even for dinner…and let the waffle make your family smile!

Each holiday I try to squeeze in a breakfast inspired by the season.  Creating a special morning treat is relatively easy since you can use so many prepared foods to make it a cinch!  I often serve up some morning fun in the days leading up to the holiday…it really extends the festivities and is less stressful than trying to pack multiple celebrations into one day!  So with the long weekend arriving tomorrow, it just might be the perfect time for you to surprise your family with an Easter breakfast or brunch!  I’d like to share how I used ordinary food from my fridge to make a morning treat fit for the Easter Bunny!
