We’ll be setting the Thanksgiving table next week…can you believe it? Since the holiday is so late this year, I think it’s fair to say everyone is feeling the push to get going on Christmas. But I just can’t go all out before our Thanksgiving feast is over…so this year, I’m blending the two! It’s not my turn to host our extended family feast, but since we celebrate that meal on Saturday, I still have Thanksgiving Day to serve something festive to my family. I’m definitely a wait-til-after-Thanksgiving Christmas decorator, but I think I found my new tradition! By adding greens to my pumpkins and gourds, I found a blend that’s as easy as it is beautiful. Let me share how I’m decorating this year and making it easier to transition to Christmas!
Set a Merry Thanksgiving Table!
a nice mix of simple decor on my table made it effortless to combine both holidays without losing the fall beauty!
adding some greenery to my centerpiece of pumpkins and gourds gives just the right amount of Christmas without overdoing it!
the most important thing about a Thanksgiving table is gathering around it…my tin wall hanging was perfect to tuck into the centerpiece! a reminder that a wall hanging doesn’t HAVE to stay on the wall!
simple place settings in autumn color keep the fall feels going…
and a tiny spring of greenery tucked into the napkin adds another wee bit of Christmas!
even Tom turkey gets in on some subtle, Christmas action…
it’s the little details that make this very simple place setting look festive for the holiday!
i transferred the soft palette of fall pumpkins from my mantle to my buffet and draped them with a greenery garland. it looks beautiful behind the table and ties the centerpiece in to the room decor…
i’m still in love with the colors…
and when i finally have to say goodbye to these pretty gourds…the flowers & greenery can stay!
though pumpkin pie is always on the menu…a cart of treats across the room is always a welcome sight to spy!
how fun are these little fall bites?
pumpkin spice cupcakes topped with a sugary mallow! so easy and delicious too!
no matter who gathers around the table, and no matter the style…
set your Thanksgiving table with love…and you can’t go wrong!
cheers to a blended holiday feast!

This crossover table design is just genius! Love being able to have both holidays represented in the season. With such a late Thanksgiving I feel like they’ve overlapped a lot this year.
