If you need to beat the winter blues, try celebrating with a Valentine picnic party! It seems like the entire country has been blasted this year with snow and deep freezes…and I’m not sure about you but I’m ready for some bright & happy colors to remind me that spring will certainly be on its way! Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it and you can easily create a whimsical picnic to surprise your family or friends with the help of Oriental Trading! I’d love to share with you some of my favorite goodies perfect for dreaming of summer fun and sharing some Valentine joy at the same time! So let’s get ready to spread out the gingham, pack up the goodies and…
share the love with a valentine picnic!
samples in this post have been provided by Oriental Trading for me to review. all opinions and ideas are my own.
some bright, red gingham makes a table every bit as festive as blanket on the ground…
and a sweet basket filled with posies makes a perfect, picnic centerpiece! so cute & simple!
i LOVE honeycomb decorations and these adorable hearts make a cheerful addition to a DIY garland made by tying strips of fabric to twine! i just attached the hearts with tiny clips!
the honeycomb beauties come as a garland on their own, but you can also take it apart and get creative!
they look festive scattered across the table too!
a fun way to easily add extra holiday cheer!
let’s eat!
the best part of a picnic is all the pretty paper products that make cleanup a breeze! paper plates & napkins in red & white…
are useful accompaniments to the darling picnic boxes topped with a DIY gingham tag! (just punch or cut some pretty paper!)
what’s inside? a sandwich and crackers packed up in a colorful parchment bag!
a fun way to dress up a simple sandwich is to hold it together with a cupcake pick! i found these leftover cuties in my cupboard!
something sweet!
any picnic needs something sweet to finish off a simple meal…and cupcake boxes are a fun way to pack up some sugar! i love how the window lets you see the yummy goodness inside!
and red velvet cupcakes are fitting for a valentine dessert don’t you think?
the darling boxes are topped with a tiny wood fork…just in case guests feel like eating fancy!
wash it all down…
what better than red soda for valentine sips?
grab your favorite flavor for some festive bubbles on the table!
pretty paper fans, hearts, and mixed shades of red make a festive table that’s bursting with love!
love is in the air…
celebrate in picnic style!

All of this red gingham has me in LOVE. And, that picnic basket with the roses – such a perfect centerpiece. And, that backdrop you created with the pinwheels and the ribbon garland is so pretty. Another amazing styling.
